Chelsea apparently agree £32m fee with Atletico Madrid for Diego Costa, according to Sky Sports.

He seems a douchebag but that scoring record does not lie.

Will see how he reacts to being around Players like Luiz, or even Oscar. Oscar pretty much quit on Chelsea this year just to be in shape for Brazil playing with a guy who turned his back on brazil.

Will be interesting to watch.

I'm more surprised that people regard € 40M as low for a player who had 1 standout season in a great collective unit that has beaten Barcelona without him on the pitch. Prime David Villa went for that much after 9 consecutive seasons of 20+ goals for Gijon, Zaragoza and Valencia and a standout World Cup. Higuain went for less than that. Agüero for only € 5M more.

I mean I know there some hilarious fees like Bale, Nerman's father, Fellaini, Caroll or Mata but that should not be the norm.

Yep, once again a player who has one great season is priced at an insane fee, and people feel it's still too low of an asking price.

Looks to be a good pick-up at a (relatively) reasonable price in the current market and Costa should suit Chelsea's needs well. Perhaps once he plays against Liverpool it will bother me but honestly I don't have a problem with Costa's on-pitch personality and such currently.

32m pounds for costa too low? I think that's about right, or too high even. If that price had been mentioned merely one season ago people would have claimed it was exorbitant. 1.5 season wonder so far. Not to mention that if you spend more than that amount of money you want someone with at least some technical build up ability.

If he were to move to anyone it would most definately Chelsea... Fits the category. My only problem is whether he'll become a Negredo and get 'uncomfortable' within physical challenges. Doesn't surprise me that this dirty scum is being coached by Mou really lol

Is that code-word for being exposed?

I never got the Negredo hype to be honest. Aguero was so good at the start of the season that even Ali Dia could have looked good playing with him. Once those injuries showed up though Negredo was exposed.

Sure, hes better than Soldado, but who isnt?

And to think some City fans actually had the audacity to claim he was better than Dzeko. Laughing
