Re: PL Manager of the Season
Tony Pulis.
Palace were dead and buried before he took over. Not only did he guarantee them prem safety, he had them competitive picking up points nearly every week. They also play some decent football.
Palace fans call the club Crystal Pulis for a reason

Re: PL Manager of the Season
either Rodgers or Martinez. Yeah pulis didn't great but we've seen many times a manager come around and safe a club from relegation. it's harder to get them up there.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
Personally I voted for Pulis. With his points average (1.51) Palace would have finished 8th, one point above Southampton, over 38 games (he was in charge for 27 games). For a newly promoted team whose biggest transfer in the summer was Gayle for £4.5m that's just amazing.

For my own satisfaction: Moyes
Any of Rodgers/Pulis deserves it, but I hate Pulis so Rodgers for me.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
I can't consider Pulis.... for how great he's done, he's only been relevant for 3 months lol.
Poyet is getting far too much credit IMO, Sunderland were 11th in Febrauary and he allowed them to go on an awful run to put them back into relegation troubles.... credit for getting them back out of it but manager of season credentials? puhhhlez
The only real candidates are Pellegrini, Martinez and Rodgers and i like to look at it like this who has overachieved the most? the answer is Rodgers.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
Pelle and Rodgers seem to be very close but Rodgers still will take it by few points because Liverpool were actually contending for the title after finishing 7th in the last season
1. Rodgers
2. Pelle
3. Martinez/Pulis

Definitely Rodgers. Expected Liverpool to scrape a CL place this season, instead he mounted a title challenge and almost won the league.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
We see a lot of managers getting results under pressure while bein midtable, Doesnt mean you reward them for being relevant for 2 months. Poyet has as much say as Pulis. Between Rodgers and Pellegrini.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
Meh, Man City were favourites by far. Had an infinite budget and already the best squad in the league along with Chelsea. Only, unlike Chelsea they had a wealth of strikers that could actually score. They barely won the league.
Not that impressed with Pelle at all.

Re: PL Manager of the Season
By the way, I think Mark Hughes deserved a shout out. I mean, here we are praising Pulis yet it was Hughes who took Pulis' old club to their best ever Premiership finish and points total with a 33-year-old Peter Crouch (7 goals) their first-choice striker and Charlie frigging Adam their top scorer with 8 goals.

lol Mancini came in with nothing, and had to build the squad
Pellegrini had a ready made championship contender
you using Mancini's need for 3 years to win the title to justify a manager of the year selection for Pellegrini is hilarious
