I'd take Pogba over Cavani too, despite my being a long-time admirer of the latter, though I don't think either is likely.

Luis, Fabregas, Costa, Cavani and Pogba in one transfer window just can't happen. It's outside the laws of physics.

It might be possible to an extent if Juventus are willing to accept Cash plus Ramires and then we splash more cash at PSG but other than that? No way. Not when the club is conscious of FFP. This isn't 2003 spend all you like Laughing

I bet, 2 days before signing Cesc, you would have said the same about signing Cesc, Costa, Luis and Pogba. But now it could well be possible.

We've not signed Pogba, and likely won't

The 3 there we have would have been thought of before the fact as nice but by no means impossible. And certainly not the fantastical scenario all of Luis, Fab, Costa, Pogba and Cavani would be.

We haven't even shown solid interest in Cavani. Its his agent parading him about looking for buyers. We'll be fine without him, really.

I think Barrett's hopes for Pogba are a tad high.

I honestly believe we'll sign Luis, beyond that, all other signs are optional. However, I think we'll add a CM late on in the window.

If we don't get Pogba, I say get Lars Bender. I'm honestly not very comfortable with a Fabregas-Matic pivot. Not comfortable with experimenting with Oscar back there either.

If it were up to me, I'd be after Khedira (200k P/W was BS, it's closer to 130k), then Lars or Gustavo.

I mean you can enquire about Pogba, but I just don't see it happening.

Oh I do see the possibility. Juventus know there's no way Pogba is re-signing now that Conte is gone. If they wait till he has only 2 years left on his contract, the fee will be significantly less. If they wait till its just one year left then he's going to walk for peanuts(or for free when the contract is over). See how much Kroos was sold to Madrid. Yeah, that.

They are probably considering keeping Vidal(who's on a longer contract and their best player) and cashing in on Pogba. It would be a wise thing to do, tbh.

And knowing the kind of player Pogba is, he probably wants to stick it to United for letting him go. What better way to do so than to sign for Chelsea? Laughing

There have been rumors floating around that part of the reason Conte left is that they not only failed to get some of his targets(like Sanchez) but are also considering selling Pogba/Vidal.

With Juve losing Conte over transfers, Liverpool signing almost exclusively Southampton players, Barca buying all attackers and ignoring their defence, Madrid signing AM's while selling Di Maria and Khedira and Milan getting only free players, I have to say, Take a bow, Jose, Abramovich and Emanelo.

Transfers thus far have been fantastic, we haven't overpaid for a single player, all have been needed and are great options. :bow:

Excellent window, lets hope it continues and we get rid of the remaining deadwood and sign a CM.

Got to be the best allround window in a long time!
