Doesn't Vidal only play B2B?

he can play a more positional role like he did/does with chile. He is versatile enough to play a different role.

Having a flat midfield isn't a good idea.

It's flat on paper. However Neither Vidal nor Modric are best as registas tbh.

regista is an overrated position. I would play Vidal there 100%. I cant even recall last time i saw Alonso changing games with his passing. I would rather have a player that guarantees that my team is not in danger in transition. i think Vidal can do that.

Good point tbh. If the team presses as a team then Vidal and Mordic both can be more than enough as a defensive cover.

All speculation though. Not sure Vidal would leave Juve at all?

If we sell Vidal for 40M euros and no player exchange i'll cut my fingers off and suck the blood out of my finger-stumps whilst wearing an authentic Bane costume, then post it on GL without using my fully functioning hand to do it.

Di Maria is better than Vidal at what he does for us currently. Plus Vidal would be wasted if he's used as a pure DM.

Vidal is a fouling machine...  that's why you want him playing B2B and involved mostly in the attack.  He gets very reckless on defense.  A lot of bad tackles.  He had 13 yellow cards this year and 17 yellows with a red last season.  If you look at his disciplinary history, it's like Ramos Laughing We all know La Liga refs hand out cards like candy too...

wasted how? Vidal game is hustling, winning balls, playing with intensity, intense running etc... We dont need his goals, we need his tactical intelligence, endurance, stamina etc...

if not him, then bring someone else that can help the team in transition. We get skinned everyweek in la liga because Alonso is utterly incompetent at it, specially when we are the ones attacking

It is clear though that we need a DM to replace Alonso. Not sure if Illarra is good enough defensively to take that role.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has voiced his admiration for Real Madrid attacker Alvaro Morata amid reports that the Serie A champions are keen to sign the Spain Under-21 international this summer.

Madrid are ready to open contract talks with the promising striker as they see him as an important player for the future, but they could opt to cash in on Morata if they fail to reach an agreement over a new deal.

The Serie A champions are believed to be keen to lure him to Turin ahead of the 2014-15 campaign and Conte feels Morata has the potential to become a world-class player.

"Morata is a great player and has a big future ahead of him," the Juventus trainer was quoted as saying by Marca.

"I can say with certainty that he has the potential to become a world-class attacker.

"However, he is a Real Madrid player at this point."

Seeking a new forward, Real Madrid -as reported by Record- are also thinking about Benfica 23 year old Rodrigo Moreno Machado.

Is he good ? He was rated very highly 2-3 yrs ago.

Luis Suarez has refused to be drawn on speculation that Barcelona or Real Madrid could lure him away from Liverpool in the summer.

Suarez signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with Liverpool in December, but reports in the press suggest it included the option for a move to either Spanish club, if they bid a certain amount.

The Uruguayan has denied the inclusion of this clause and insists he has already made a decision about his future.

When asked about interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, he said: "I don't want to answer that. I try to avoid press speculation.

"I know what I want and what my agent says is good for me, but I don't want to comment on speculation."

Discussing his deal, he added: "I didn't sign any contract with clauses prioritising a certain team."

If what I'm reading for the past 2 pages is why Real Madrid fans want to sign Vidal then they should definitely accumulate over 45 minutes of watching him play first.

And get a deeper understanding of football Laughing

Serie A's leading scorer Ciro Immobile has brushed off reports linking him with a move to Borussia Dortmund and insisted he is happy at Torino.

Immobile has scored 22 league goals this season and his performances have reportedly attracted the attention of several clubs, although his future is complicated by the fact that he is co-owned by Juventus.

The 24-year-old, this week named in Italy's preliminary 30-man squad for the World Cup, has no interest in returning to play for Juventus.

Speculation has suggested that his agent has held talks over a switch to Borussia Dortmund, but Immobile does not believe he is a target for the Bundesliga side.

He is keen to stay at Torino, although he does admit that the idea of one day joining hometown club Napoli would be appealing.

Asked about the transfer talk, Immobile told Mediaset: "What was my agent doing in Germany? The truth is that he goes there to visit his relatives.

"I am very happy in Torino and staying here will make me happy. I won't come back to Juventus.

"If one day I might agree to play for Napoli? They are the team of my city and every Neapolitan player would accept to play in Napoli."

Torino's sports director Gianluca Petrachi has also made it clear that they have no intention of letting Immobile go.

Petrachi told toro.it: "We aim to keep him here. The other clubs cannot take decisions without us.

"It is not correct to do certain things while we are engaged in this final part of the championship."

Exclusive: Sevilla's Moreno tops Reds left-back wish list
May 14, 2014 22:10
By James Pearce
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-fc-target-sevilla-left-7122348

The 21-year-old is one of the rising stars of Spanish football and is likely to command a fee in excess of £15million.

Brendan Rodgers is a big admirer of his talents but there will be competition for his signature with Chelsea among a number of clubs keen on securing his services.

The other left-backs under consideration at Anfield are Guilherme Siqueira and Ryan Bertrand.

....

Reports linking Liverpool with a move for Chelsea's out of contract left-back Ashley Cole are wide of the mark.

The Reds have no interest in the 33-year-old defender who retired from international football this week after being overlooked for England's World Cup squad.

....

Rodgers will also be in the market for a centre-back this summer as he looks to shore up a backline which leaked 50 league goals. Cardiff City's Steven Caulker is one of a number currently under consideration.

....

There is no truth in speculation about a possible return to Anfield for Barcelona's Javier Mascherano, who parted company with the Reds four years ago.

So, to recap:
Liverpool are definitely signing a LB.  Alberto Moreno is the top target, with Bertrand and Siqueira back-up options.  There is no interest in CAshley.

LFC are also after a CB, with Caulker and a number of others being considered.

There is no truth to the Mascherano rumours.
