La Liga's has always been a force in Europe for two important reasons imo:

1- South American players naturally go to Spain because of the similar language and culture.

2- La Liga teams most of the time are extensions of their respective communities (Basque, Catalan, etc.) and hence get unequivocal support from them.

However, it was not until the Spanish team really developed their youth sectors that they are now managing to be consistently good, despite being monopolized by Madrid and Barca.

Also, the financial clout of those two ensures that La Liga always stays relevant regardless of the rest of the league.

Atletico can potentially be third leg in the La Liga, and if that happens it would be even better for the league. However, I think that any limited horse league is down to suffer from the domination of 1 or 2 teams (BL, Serie A).

As if this is new. They are way ahead in the coeffecients table for a reason. 2 La liga teams reached the europa league final 2 years ago, 2 spanish teams consistently in the semis for the last 3 years. Its just common sense tbh.

Madrid Barcelona and Atletico are better than every epl team.
