The talent pool and overall football philosophy in La Liga is light years ahead of most of Europe. The only league that's been a consistent presence in the CL/EL has been La Liga, all the other leagues have went through cycles.

Was already hilarious the pre-season disdain for La Liga despite their results over the past 5 years.

The Top 3 dominance in Europe is a myth considering mid-table Spanish teams are dominant in the Europa League.

Betis vs Sevilla and Atletico vs Barca had them eliminate a Spanish team by default.

Only team in Europe with 4 teams in all of Europe, you'd struggle to think of a league with even more than 1; that's because there aren't any.

Best league in the world.

7 Teams qualified for Europe and 4 still in it.

Two out of the three teams that didn't make it were eliminated by another Spanish team. :coffee:

Paco though more of a poacher than Villa is our future hope for a CF in which España is lacking the talent for Villa's successor. Villa is still by far the best CF for La Roja yet he cannot last beyond his years especially given how he has evolved his role into a different one under Simeone. Paco in this element presents the needed skillset that Villa possesses and if he can transcend it internationally, then there is hope beyond the complete lack of CF talent for España.

tbh Serie A '80s  is incomparable with all IMHO . there was greater concentration of top players. here there 's also the premier league to catalyze  players.
I follow Serie A and I am an EPL fan but anyway I will become a Liga fan if they win this EL, promised. Laughing Liga clubs  my only hope Proud

Anyway although I don't like this league it's evident as Liga is underrated . This year expecially destroyed all if we consider Valencia and Siviglia are not either in their best moment and Barca was even eliminated... but there's Atletico
the most relevant thing is If we take away Real and Barca who are 2 particular clubs the rest of Liga is in difficult economic conditions , yet the system does not collapse.

La Liga's has always been a force in Europe for two important reasons imo:

1- South American players naturally go to Spain because of the similar language and culture.

2- La Liga teams most of the time are extensions of their respective communities (Basque, Catalan, etc.) and hence get unequivocal support from them.

However, it was not until the Spanish team really developed their youth sectors that they are now managing to be consistently good, despite being monopolized by Madrid and Barca.

Also, the financial clout of those two ensures that La Liga always stays relevant regardless of the rest of the league.

Atletico can potentially be third leg in the La Liga, and if that happens it would be even better for the league. However, I think that any limited horse league is down to suffer from the domination of 1 or 2 teams (BL, Serie A).
