UCL · Quarterfinals · 2nd Leg - Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain
Chelsea will host Paris Saint-Germain for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League
quarterfinals at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, April 8ᵗʰ
quarterfinals at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, April 8ᵗʰ
The first leg in Paris 6 days ago saw the sides play out a 3-1 victory to the home side. The visiting Blues found themselves down after just 3 minutes when John Terry made a mess of what should have been a simple clearance, instead heading the ball right to the chest of PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, who finished superbly into the roof of Petr Cech's net. The Blues found their footing not long after, however, and were handed a golden opportunity on a silver platter when on just over 3 minutes from the half-hour mark, Oscar was brought down in the box by Thiago Silva with seemingly little contact, prompting referee Milorad Mažić to point to the spot and hand Chelsea a fantastic opportunity to both level the score on the night, and get a crucial away goal on the board. Go-to spot-kick taker Eden Hazard stepped up, and the Belgian was once again on point, sending PSG keeper Salvatore Sirigu the wrong way and putting the Blues on equal terms with their hosts for the remainder of the first half and going into the break. The home side retook the lead, however, on just after the hour mark when a cheaply-given-away freekick was so well-taken by opening goalscorer Ezequiel Lavezzi that David Luiz couldn't help but inadvertently knock it into his own net, and the hosts had been effectively gifted both a goal and the lead for the second time that evening. Chelsea hearts were crushed even further when in stoppage time, one-time Chelsea target Javier Pastore danced through the sleeping Blues defence and slotted home his side's third past Petr Cech, leaving the West Londoners hanging on by a thread going into the second leg.
Questionables for Chelsea are Samuel Eto'o, still in a fitness limbo over his hamstring injury sustained over 2 weeks ago, and John Obi Mikel, while José Mourinho says André Schurrle is likely to be fit in time for selection after being at the wrong end of a nasty tacked from Charlie Adam in the Blues' 3-0 tonking of Stoke City at the Bridge on Saturday.
The match kicks off at 1945 BST

I have a feeling Shurrle is going to start up front again. But I really wish Eto'o would be miraculously fit by then
Here's my predicted line-up:

It's all about Eto'o tbh. Even a not fully fit Eto'o would make their defence shit themselves only with his mere presence, and that would only benefit our AMs

Samuel Eto'o in race against time to be fit for crucial clash against PSG following complications from hamstring injury:
The hamstring strain was due to keep the Cameroonian on the sidelines for a maximum of two weeks, but the injury has taken longer to heal than expected, and the 33-year-old did not join his team-mates at all in a light training session held Sunday

All I can ask to our players is to give their 100%, in the worst scenery we would be allowed to focus entirely on the PL with the confidence boost of having played a great game, otherwise we would be 2 games away from the CL final.

My thoughts on both this Eto'o situation and the match as a whole can be best described by that wise old philosopher known as Lucas Piazon's twitter bio
