Forza wrote:I am indeed referring to his tackle on Mkhitarayan at about the 35th minute. Pepe made no attempt to go for the ball and could've easily given away a penalty. I've seen far softer tackles given penalties and that is why it was an utterly moronic thing to do at 2-0 up so early in a game.halamadrid2 wrote:Forza wrote:Pepe is a moron who got away with not conceding at least 1 penalty. Last-ditch tackle all you like, but the guy has no brain.
oh please.
If you are referring to his Shoulder to shoulder on Mikhitariyan then thats ridiculous. This is supposed to be a mans sport isnt it, not Pepes fault Mik is so weak. There was another instance when Hoffmann dived under Coentraos challenge (again shoulder to shoulder) I bet you thought that was Pepe too
Pepe was excellent yesterday and has been all season. When was the last time he caused a penalty?????? like two seasons ago???? This is a new much improved Pepe who seldomly plays like Mou made him to.
Take off the Real Madrid Specs that seem to be glued to your head and for once consider an alternate view properly. I'm not sure who you think you're talking to, but I know the difference between Coentrao and Pepe, whereas you seem only to be able to distinguish the glorious aura that is Real Madrid from the dreary and lacklustre remainder of the world of football, which only seems to exist for the purpose of showcasing Real Madrid's relative greatness.
Like I said, Pepe is a moron.

Pepe doesn't need a brain. His physique combined with his excellent tackling and speed are what have him up there among the best CB's in the world today.

Compared to De Gea, Courtois, Sirigu and even Cech; I wouldn't call Weidenfeller worthy above them considering there were goals he could have done better on.

On the other hand, there were numerous saves Weide did to keep the result in Madrid respectable.

Courtois was better than Roman for me.

Not a single player was the best in his position over two legs. If you want to create line up it would have to be two separate ones
My first leg eleven:
My second leg would be:
