West Ham will have momentum coming into the LFC game now
Our hopeless results have mostly been in London and Manchester.

Sunderland's next 4 fixtures.... Spurs, Everton, City and Chelsea.
They will do well to get out of this.

Our hopeless results have mostly been in London and Manchester.
Arsenal were top before playing us (momentum)
Fulham were coming off an amazing performance and a point vs. Utd at OT before playing us (momentum)
Swansea were having new manager syndrome and just drew Napoli before playing us (momentum)
Southampton were safe and playing with zero pressure playing us (momentum)
Man Utd were coming off 2 games winning stream and 3 games without a goal conceded before playing us (momentum)
Cardiff were coming off 2 encouraging performances and unlucky losses vs Spurs and Everton before playing us (momentum)
Spurs were coming off a great come back victory after being 2-0 down before playing us (momentum)
In contrast, the team that actually gave us the hardest game was Sunderland, who was on a losing streak and with no momentum.
So yea, bring on momentum

Same, he's a likable bloke. I was wishing against all odds that he would make it with us but at the end everyone made the right decision letting go.
andy carroll likable? didnt he have like a lot of off field issues?

i was just thinking that he receives too much criticism for hoof the ball football when he does get the results
west ham fans were booing him the 1st time Chelsea played them, but now theyre almost top 10
of course not good enough to manage a bigger club

That's not GOAT though lol.... he does what he needs to do to get enough results to get mid table every year.
Which is the minimum he should be doing anyway.

I don't know why Armero doesn't start games ahead of McCartney.
He only played 8 minutes since joining the Hammers side not including this game.
He's sitting on the bench regularly, amongst the other signings from Serie A.

Aside from Coutinho, you are right.
Expected much more from Giaccherini though.

West Ham's Serie A signings in January seem baffling indeed. Armero, Borriello, Nocerino. And they're never getting any meaningful playing time. Especially Nocerino should be playing ahead of Nolan any day of the week and twice on game days. Pointless signings.

Borini is Sunerland's best player according to their fans, so you can't really say he's been a flop.

What's up with the Nolan hate lol?
In any case i watched Nocerino consistently for years he's crap.... in no way is he better than Nolan.

The way the bottom-half of the table has been so tight for all season long that every team there has been under relegation threat pretty much all the time, I think you have to give some credit to each and every manager who manage to pull their clubs to relative safety before the final weeks. Like, Allardyce, Lambert, Bruce. Mark Hughes of all people a notch above that lot since Stoke look set to finish in the top-half. Pulis well worth a mention, too.

He's got no skills and no athleticism, either. All he brings to this West Ham team is his poaching abilities and fair enough for that, but I think West Ham would just play so much better if they had an AM with some actual AM skills.

Borini has 3 goals in 24 games lol.
I guess that's just how it is for being a best player of a relegation-threatened team..

Well their fans love him, his work rate, and his desire. And also the fact that he's better than most of the other scrubs on their team. So yeah....

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V10
Sunderland's home games: Everton, Cardiff, West Brom, Swansea.
Away games: Tottenham, Man City, Chelsea, Man United.
Maybe they can still survive if they get 10+ points from their home games, but those away games look horrible for a relegation-battling team.
He is better than most other forwards in their team, but that doesn't say much. Somehow today's game reminded me of how little Borini actually contributes skills wise. I don't mind it if he's our 3rd choice striker next season to come off the bench, but on the other hand I'm not too happy about the idea that he'd be our back-up if Suarez or Sturridge get injured.

Given that he's played on the wing for them for most of the season, I wouldn't say it's such a bad tally.
