@Le Sam.
Ok, well fine. Lets agree to move on from that topic. But your comments about his (Beverly) overrated D bemuses me...you could at least talk about why you think that.

He's just a hustle and effort guy, which I love as much as the next guy (consider how much I love Jordan Hill for a moment) but his defensive impact just isn't all that. You force a couple turnovers, you put a guy at the line more, it's risk/reward.
More or less, he just annoys people out there, which could go either way.

Of course, I'm going to invest it right and make sure my money works for me, but I'm definitely leaving the game at that point and resting up early."
The hell? Retire?
If George got a billion, that stripper he knocked up would take about 250mil

But I really like Louisville right now because I really like the kid Russ Smith and I like UConn because I'm a big Shabazz Napier fan. You have to have great guard play in the tournament."

Beverley is a top 5 PG defender. I do agree Conley is better though.
Bradley rarely played the point even with Rondo out
also Celtics wrapped up a perfect regular season on the road against the West.. 0-15

These guys make millions of dollars a year. Would a billion dollars really change their lives that much?

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Depends of the lifestyle they want to live. Do you know how many athletes go broke? The number is quite ridiculous...sure they are making millions, but it's not enough to sustain the lifestyle some of them want to live. It all comes down to perception I guess, once you start making so much bank, it might not be enough for some. And to answer your question, yes, a billion dollars would change their life (you have to remember that they are not taking all of that money home, e.g., agents, lawyers and other things.

I think George was just being humerous and saying the things most people would say about winning a large sum of money. Most people's first reaction would be to quit their job, at least that's why they would say.
I think in this situation, if it actually happened, he would not retire.

The pacers are pretenders. They won't do anything this post season IMO
They'll go out in the second round against the bulls or nets. For a team that is one of the only ones left with a low post game, it's ironic how utterly terrible they can be when the game slows down

They need a point. Lowry would do wonders for them.

While i agree is such a move even in the realms of realism?
Seems to me they don't have the cap space to pull off such a move and keep Stephenson.
Anyway their current issues are much larger than that.... one of the most underrated things about their earlier season success was their ball movement and atm its pitiful.
Also as they are currently in a slump all of them are trying to force themselves out of it and its a team which found success together not as individuals.
Because of this they are making awful decisions, especially Paul George who at the moment is making some god awful shot selection decisions.
But in any case i think calling them pretenders is incredibly kneejerk and i really can't see Chicago or Brooklyn beating them over 7 games.
Brooklyn might because they have the offensive skills to keep them back but Chicago? nah all that would happen in the series is when Pacers go cold during the game is Chicago get like 5-7 points ahead max and its not going to be good enough.

I think Hibbert has lost DPOY. He isnt exactly defending poorly, but the Pacers skid will effect his chances....that and Joakim Noah being better anyway.

I wonder what kind of money Stephenson expects. Indiana lucky he didn't make all-star this year, because I think he expects a max because they sharing those out like Candy in Indiana.
Personally, I'd sign Lowry if that's an option and paying them the same money.

Nah, Dani. Since the beginning of Feb, Hibbert has been horrible, just BAD.
Goes to show that it was a collective defence effort and he and George were getting all the credit.
@sam, Stephenson getting his money all depends on the Miami series in the ECF.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
They have had their starting lineup of Durant, Westbrook, Sefolosha, Perkins and Serge Ibaka for just 20 games so far this season. They're 17-3 on those nights. Ideally, the Thunder will be able to get Sefolosha back from a calf injury and Perkins back from a groin injury before the playoffs, in which there are no back-to-backs to limit Westbrook, either.
But if they don't, unlike last season, they will have some other options they feel they can rely on. Not just if they have to give the two rookies minutes -- and Adams will certainly get serious time in the postseason -- but Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones have given quality minutes for the Thunder at times during this season. Neither player was a proven option last season. Neither could be turned to as a countermeasure when the Thunder fell in five games to the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round last season.
"We never make excuses. We're not going to say 'Wow, we got to 50 wins and all our players were hurt,'" Durant said. "We have a system in place where, if you put guys in the lineup, they can contribute."
Let's also be honest: none of it happens without Durant on the top of his game. All of those injuries and the 50-18 record are probably line No. 1 on Durant's Most Valuable Player résumé -- that and his streak of 25-point games, which is now at 33 after he put up 35 points on just 21 shots with 11 rebounds and six assists Thursday.
Durant is now just seven games behind Michael Jordan's record of 40 consecutive 25-point games in the 1986-87 season. That season, to put things in perspective, was the greatest scoring season of Jordan's career: 37.1 points per game. So Durant isn't exactly playing a small role. But last season he was unable to carry the Thunder when Westbrook went down, even with all his scoring ability.

^ first round pick from Louisville. He's still really raw on offense so I doubt he keeps that scoring up but he's got some potential, especially defensively.
