As log as Brooks is their coach, I won't fear them.. Hope they extend his contract

The last 100 posts in this thread by me is about Brooks being useless Westbrook is the one getting blame though, he'd probably score 30 on 50% in a offense suited for him...

l don't think any team ever had a potential dynasty handed to them by the basketball gods, only to throw it all away quite like Okc. They've made almost every wrong move you can make

Still think even if they kept Harden they would be no further along than they are now.
Harden doesn't solve the issues they have, if anything he enhances them lol.

Trading Harden was the right choice, they've got enough ball handlers as it is, and his defense is horrible. It was him or Ibaka, and they made the right choice. Brooks is just screwing it up, by not playing Lamb who could really evolve, and is a much better player than Fisher.
Fisher with that 27% FG in 14 mpg

Yeah, 10 years ago.. And he was still old back then There is no reason for Fisher to be in the league tbh, we wasn't even good enough for the Lakers, and yet Brooks wants him.. Can't he handle a locker room on his own or what? Fisher was usable 10 years ago, but he offers nothing now.

Anyway personnel isn't the issue, picking Lamb wouldn't make any difference.
The 2 on 5 bs is the issue and no one being involved on offense apart from KD and Westbrook, coaching is a joke.
But i'm repeating myself, everyone knows what the issues are.

Well tbf, the offense was smoother in the start of the season when Lamb was getting decent minutes.

I don't think anything was handed to them honestly.
Durant perhaps, but since then, their picks have been nothing short of magnificent. Presti has built a great team. Brooks probably had alot to do with it as well, just in terms of player development and the culture he's fostered.
But they've simply outgrown him as far as X's and O's and rotations go. Fairly similar to the Warriors with Jackson.

That was more due to Westbrook being injured and having Durant surrounded by role players and Ibaka tbf.
For some reason Brooks thinks you don't need to have any flow to the offense when Westbrook is there and let them figure it out lol.

This Westbrook blame needs to stop, Durant is just as much at fault as Westbrook for flow not being ideal.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Freeza wrote:Well tbf, the offense was smoother in the start of the season when Lamb was getting decent minutes.

How in the world would you expect anyone to run a fluid offense when playing with Perkins and Fisher in the lineup, those 2 are completely useless on the offensive end. You can at most play with one offense retard, you need to have speed or at least any ability to get open. And Brooks' persistence in playing those, and not haven't an offensive philosophy results in a lackluster offense.
PJ3 and Lamb could really offer something to this team offensively. I just don't get coaches playing guys a lot in the regular season and then benching them for useless players in the PO.

Nah Westbrook is a seperate problem, but a problem none the less.
His mental mistakes and breakdowns hurt the Thunder. Westbrook obviously isnt to blame for the crappy sets they run, but his decision making and stuff like that cant be ignored.
This series it isnt a problem and he isnt getting any criticism, rightly.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Where did you get me blaming Westbrook from that lol?
I said they shared the ball more with one star on the floor, but Brooks for some reason when Westbrook is in the team feels they don't need to do that.
That's entirely Brook's fault, the whole situation is. If Doc was coaching OKC this would be already over lol.
As for Westbrook he's been OKC's best player, i'm not hating on him at all.
Although Dani is right too.

Exactly. If they kept Harden that means no more Ibaka. I think he's more important for them at this point.
60m for a 6th man isn't smart and neither is having three perimeter players on max deals.
That said even with Harden, Scott Brooks still couldn't win.
Just realized Brooks is on a 2 year deal, I doubt the Thunder will be willing to pay two coaches so he's probably coming back regardless.
That 4th quarter was just awful by him. How are you going to let an NBA team play 3 guards and not make them pay. Doc has coached circles aroun dhim
