Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Fair to say all other 6 teams would want to draw these 2. Evra will be missing for Utd and Lewa for BVB in the first game.
Can't decide which team is worse atm, however if these 2 drew, I reckon Man Utd can get through. Please Bayern/Real/PSG save us....I'm scared of Utd progressing more
What has happened to the lovely yellows, they are worse than Norwich atm

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Dortmund got found out, which was bound to happen eventually.
They weren't going to be legitimate for years to come, they just got lucky last season in CL and people thought they were too good and jumped on the wagon. They don't even stand a chance in Bundesliga now.
Their time is up. Atletico is the new flavor of the month.

bit harsh
loss of key players and injury has clearly had an effect

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Oh you guys have no idea lol.
Dortmund played without Reus, Gundogan, Bender and Subotic tonight and they had motivations issues. They haven't been "found out". They've just had massive injuries and are slowly getting those players back... but even then, after long layoffs, those players are going to need time to regain a rhythm.
Not sure when Gundogan and Subotic come back... but if they do before the quarters, Dortmund will be a force to be reckoned with. Those are two missing keys to the team right now.

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Neven Subotic is out for the season as he got a ruptured cruciate ligament. As for Ilkay Gündogan - nobody knows when he'll come back.sportsczy wrote:Not sure when Gundogan and Subotic come back... but if they do before the quarters, Dortmund will be a force to be reckoned with. Bhends can testify to me tweeting: "There is more chance me sleeping with Natalie Portman by end of 2012 than this Chelsea side winning the CL". It was after the return leg vs. Napoli. So you can see where my worries will come from.
I believe we will win the title, but if the 1/100000 shot of us coming 4th and Moyes fluking a CL happened, that'd be the end of me, literally.
I just hope you guys take something off City and win most of their remaining league games, butimmediately out of CL next round.
Any idea how long RVP will be out for ?

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Underestimate Dortmund at your own peril. Out of all the teams, I honestly hope we (RM) get Man Utd. They are really that awful this season and this win was essentially scotch tape holding dismembered body parts together.
On a side note, can't wait to see Liverpool again in the UCL. Would be fun watching them again...

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
At this point two things can kill me this summer
1. us losing the title on goal difference. That would be the cruelest joke of the century. And my heart will stop on the spot.
2. us finishing 4th and United winning the CL to kick us out
So if any of those two scenarios happen, I have said my good byes.

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Thing about Dortmund is though, if anyone watched their game, they should have been eliminated today. Zenit missed plenty of chances. and Lewansowski is suspended for first game of QF, and without him Dortmund are as penetrative as the xcx (banned member).
Hearing Gundogan won't make it back this season either...I think they'll be the draw most teams would want alongside man Utd

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
To stay on topic United obviously are the worst team in the CL still left. Think Dortmund could still give a tough game to any team.

Problem is that not only Ilkay Gündogan and Neven Subotic are out for longer, Sven Bender won't return till the end of the season either, and Kuba won't return before July 2014.

Also Moyes is winning the CL IMO.

Sven Bender has some inflammation at the pubic bone ("Schambeinentzündung") and that takes a while to completely heal.

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Actually they do
Its just people like to prove me wrong and therefore search as hard as they can for wrong quotes
I could find dozens of stupid quotes from anyone here if i really wanted to but i really can't be arsed to bother like some seem to

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Gündogan and Reus (despite his average season) has been a tremendous loss for them yet one cannot underestimate the loss of Kuba, whose absence unsurprisingly caused Dortmund to decline into a string of poor results. I cannot stress Kuba's importance and how much pure dimension he brings to Dortmund (and Poland) as Klopp will be anxiously waiting for his return.

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Dortmund injury list is not a co incidents .They run too much more than any other clubs. Its the dark side of klopps tactics.
Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
Kuba is out for the season lol.... as is Subotic and probably Gundogan.
Pizchekh (sp?) was out till Christmas and doesn't really look the same .
Reus has been out for long periods as has Hummels and now Bender is too.
They have had ridiculous long injuries to key players, but of course that doesn't matter when you have an agenda....

Re: Dortmund vs. Man Utd
I can't believe I actually have to state the obvious, but this tie was decided when Dortmund won 4-2 in St Petersburg.
Do I really have to go and dig out quotes from our last years Arsenal tie?!
Because I'm sure plenty of you jokers were writing "Bayern has been found out" then lol
Sure Dortmund is not such a force as last year as they have multiple key players out long term and no adequate replacements.
Still they're capable of being pretty strong on their day...
Zenit just had their manager fired too and that usually makes for a short time explosion of performance
