Re: Predict the Score
Sorry MT, for round 24 I count a plus of 38 points for me, while you have me at a whopping -20
Got 28 point regularly, plus 2 correct bonuses versus 8 wrong ones, is 10 points ?

Re: Predict the Score
"You can only choose a maximum of 3 goalscorers. If you want to predict something like Real Madrid 7-3 Bayern Munich, then you must show which 3 are your chosen goalscorers.
The goalscorer prediction must be exact. So if you predict Benzema and Robben to score and only Benzema scores, then it's -20 points."
So the goalscorers I designate for the bonus have to be exact (i.e. they all have to score), but they don't have to be ALL the goalscorers?
Why else would I have to DESIGNATE specials bonus goalscorers from, let's say the example prediction of 7:3 ?

Yeh all the ones that are bolded have to score. But the ones that aren't bolded don't have to score.

Re: Predict the Score
The bolded ones have to match the actual goalscorers exactly. So you bolded Lukaku to score, but the actual goalscorers were Lukaku and McCarthy.

lol, that doesn't make sense. Why would it then be a feasible option to have a prediction with only some goalscorers bolded (as in your example 7:3) when the match has to end with exactly the bolded scorers AND none others, in order for the bonus to be available?

Re: Predict the Score
Well the rule is you can only predict 3 goalscorers maximum, so in a 7-3 result it would only count as some. If all 3 of your bolded players scored out of the 10 goalscorers in a 7-3 result, you would get the bonus.
That rule was mainly made so people wouldn't predict 20-11 scorelines with every player scoring.

But if anyone did that the chances of getting the bonus right would be zero anyway, whether how I understood the rule (i.e. all bolded scorers have to score) or how you apply it (i.e. all bolded scorers have to score AND they have to be the onyl ones who score). That made sense only for the earlier bonus.
Damn you MT , had I known THIS is how you apply the bonus rule I would never have gone for it. Odds of getting the exact goalscorers right with no leeway are ridiculously bad, much much worse then the -5 lose 25 gain reward you're giving out.
Yohan Modric wrote:If all 3 of your bolded players scored out of the 10 goalscorers in a 7-3 result, you would get the bonus.
Yeah well, apparently not . Or at least it's ambiguously worded. Because according to how you count it, if I predicted a 7:3 result with 3 goalscorers bolded for the bonus, I get the bonus not only if all three score (as I thought) but also only if the game ends with only those three scoring, in which case the idea of having a different overall scoreline becomes nonsensical.

Re: Predict the Score
Round 27
*CL Final Special*
There are 3 different bonuses for this round. You can use all of them. Please use the format below to post your predictions. All predictions are only for after 90 minutes. They are not for extra time.
Bonus 1: Predict the correct amount of yellow cards in the CL final and get 25 points.
Example:
Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid [Ronaldo] [Koke] - 5 YC
There are no point deductions etc for getting this wrong.
Bonus 2: Predict a 10 minute bracket for when a goal could be scored and get 50 points for each bracket. You can only predict one time bracket for each goalscorer and you can only predict 3 time brackets maximum. Also bold the 3 time brackets you choose as shown below.
Example:
Real Madrid 3-1 Atletico Madrid [Ronaldo 22'-32', Ronaldo 33'-43', Benzema 44'-54'] [Koke 45'-55'] - 5 YC
There are no point deductions etc for getting this wrong.
Bonus 3: Predict whether there will be extra time and penalties and get 50 points. If you predict just Extra Time, you will get 25 points.
Example:
Real Madrid 1-1 Atletico Madrid [Ronaldo - 22'-32'] [Koke 45'-55'] - 5 YC - ET and Penalties.
There are no point deductions etc for getting this wrong.
Fixtures
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid
All predictions must be made by Saturday 20:35 CET/in 45 hours and 47 minutes.
You can also edit your prediction, goalscorers, bonuses etc up until the match starts.

Re: Predict the Score
BTW, you should add that the time brackets need to correspond with the number of goals one predicts over all - that is if you predict a 2:0 you can only predict 2 time brackets. Otherwise you might find people predicting 9 time brackets for the whole match
Oh, and best make it zero points for the bonuses if one predicts too many of them - that is if the real result is 2:1 and one predicts a 3:2 and thus uses 5 time frames, then just void that bonus, or people would prefer to go for the boni and predict as high numbers of goals as possible.
