Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
would be great business if we got Drmic,Kampl and Ginter for combined cost less than 30 M
3 young versatile players who can be helpful and still improve
now thats more like Arsenal
yet still enough money remains to Buy DM+CF as starters

Wenger spotted at Heathrow Airport on his way to Switzerland. People linking it to Basel's Schar or meeting an agent of Drmic but in reality Wenger's mentor Max Hild passed away.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Xavi Martinez is quoted in a Munich paper as 'being not happy' about his new substitute role and that he will 'seriously consider' a move in summer.
Same report cites Martinez' agent that Arsenal had made contact both with him and Bayern in winter already, and suggests a summer move there is 'very likely'.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
I can't even think of Javi Martinez as a possibility. That would be a huge, awesome, and completely unexpected acquisition. How expensive do you think it would be if a club (any club) wanted to take him off Bayern's hands? They paid a ton for him and he's just entering his peak years.

That's that then. Thanks a lot, Wenger and co.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5479824/Bacary-Sagna-tells-Arsenal-team-mates-hell-quit-on-a-free-this-summer.html
I know it's The Sun, but surely they can't get away with writing something like that without some truth to it?
Sagna To Leave Arsenal
Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has told his team-mates he will be leaving in the summer rather than signing a new contract
Sources close to the player have told us he was to be offered a deal worth £100,000 a week to stay in north London until 2017, although Arsene Wenger admitted that a deal was "not close".
Reports that Galatasaray are the leading candidates to sign Sagna for on a lucrative deal worth £120,000 per week after tax.
A club source told the newspaper: ""Bacary has told some of his team-mates he won't be staying beyond the summer. It is a shame as he is popular."
Sagna turned 31 last month, and has been at Arsenal since joining from Auxerre in 2007. That spell has coincided with an Arsenal trophy drought that extends back to 2005, a run that Sagna himself recently described as "embarrassing".
However, he also hinted his desire to stay at the club, telling the Daily Mirror: "I love Arsenal, I love playing for Arsenal, I love my team. Arsenal is the most followed team in France and I remember I used to watch them when I was in France so it was a pleasure to play for them, so why leave?"

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
As for the Sun, I wasn't suggesting that that's a fools day joke but that they have NO PROBLEM whatsoever printing stuff that's absolutely and categorically wrong -
as the example of them "revealing exclusively" that Pep decided to join City, ONE DAY before it was made official he'd join us, proves

well, it's always safe to expect one with a French name, so I'd say either Serge Aurier or Debuchy.
Either way not bad.

Napoli is making both long term plans and looking for short term solutions for the defense. They are interested in Standard Liegi striker Michy Batshuayi, who has an exit clause set at 8 million, but the Belgian club isn’t recognizing this option and wants 15 million. But it appears Arsenal is very close to reaching an agreement to acquire him.
rumours getting more and more like it tbh

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Salomon Kalou linked with his annual Arsenal reports. He stated he rejected a move to Arsenal in January and Arsene Wenger is supposedly ready to bid £2mil(?!) for the 28 year old.
He has scored 13 goals and assisted 2 in 35 apps for Lille. He finished last season with 16 goals and 7 assists in 43.
Why these links? We can do so much better.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
The Kalou rumors have mystified me, too. Though he plays as more of a CF these days than I remember in his time at Chelsea ... his time at Lille has been not that bad, overall. I'm not saying I want him, but a guy who can bag ~15 goals a season, with PL experience, who is still on the right side of 30, for £2 million: maybe it's not so mystifying after all?
It'd be funny (in a sad way) if Kalou & Batshuayi (or Drmic, or Morata, or some other young guy) replaced Park & Bendtner in the squad. Probably an upgrade, but fans would get rabid.
