Sanabria snubs Arsenal for Roma

Paraguayan youngster Tonny Sanabria is set to complete a move to Roma, having bid farewell to his Barca B team-mates after training on Wednesday and rejecting offers from Arsenal.

17-year-old striker Tonny Sanabria is now en-route to Italy, numerous Catalan media are reporting, having said his farewells to his Barca B team-mates on Wednesday, before setting off to join Serie A side Roma.

Widely seen as one of the most promising young players at Barcelona, has rejected the opportunity to renew terms with the Catalan giants, with a better economic offer having apparently been presented to him by Roma.

Arsenal were thought to be leading the chase for the Paraguayan and were reportedly fighting right until the end to convince him that a move to London was in his best interests, but his decision has ultimately lead him to Roma instead, for the next stage of his career.

Leading Catalan sports portals Mundo Deportivo and Sport, have already indicated that Sanabria reported for training as ordered on Wednesday morning, but afterwards, took the time to say goodbye to each and every one of his Barca B team-mates, before gathering his belongings and departing the club that helped propel him to such prominence.

Yeah you're right, I think maybe to the exact number

I haven't seen Paredes and Sanabria at all. Just know they are highly rated.

Seriously after every single youth prospect

No one can tell you much about Sanabria as he has played like 3 games with Barca B in the Segunda so he hasn't really played beyond kid's level so far. But he's supposed to be a great prospect. Martino personally tried to convince him and his parents to stay but as usual these days his agent demanded first team action already and that's not happening at Barca.

Basically they're being pro-active something other Italian teams can also learn from.

No, Sanabria is a CF.

He will likely go straight out on loan just like Paredes. Would love to see him link up with Iturbe at Verona or Berardi and Zaza at Sassuolo.

Doesn't matter where they go, as long as their getting playing time though.

Not really, those were Thiago (who was at Barça B then) and Sergi Roberto. Possibly Rafinha too. He was quite right, wasn't he?

Good size and physique for a Barça player, he is 1.80 and quite strong for his age. Heading is not a strength of him, although being so young perhaps he can improve. He has scored 3 goals in 570 minutes in segunda, more goals than Sandro or Dongou in less minutes.

He is a CF now, but he played a lot of games in our youth ranks as a CM.

A pity he is gone, but anyway his spot is Messi's spot and in the future we have Lee Seung Woo who is much better than Sanabria.
