Hoeneß: "This is a declaration of war from Real Madrid"

According to "Spiegel Online" a famous german news site which also exclusively published the Edward Snowden documents, Real Madrid tried to convince Lewandowski to break his word and join them instead of Bayern Munich with a 81Mil. € package.

Real offered a 6yr. contract with 9.5Mil. € per year + 10Mil. € cash + 14Mil. € for his agents.

Maik Barthel, Lewas agent confirmed "There was an immoral prosposal from Real Madrid"

Hoeneß, who got informed about this offer during the Club WC in Marokko in decembre raged "This is a declaration of war!"

Well tbh, Bayern aren't used to competition when signing players from other German clubs, so they're probably surprised.

Well, Bayern won by signing the player, so where's the problem?

BTW, the only club who would have had the right to be furious would have been Dortmund, as last summer, Robert Lewandowski could have gone to any foreign club for a good transfer fee, but he turned this down for a Bayern move in 2014. If he now would have decided to choose Real after all, *then* he would have been a rat.

no it's not lol, we wouldnt have to pay transfer fees to dortmund.

if you want to sign suarez, you have to pay Liverpool over 70 mil in fees, + 10 mil/year contract to suarez + signing bonus + agent fees.

it was a very wise proposal.

Indeed. BTW, I read somewhere that the full cost of the Mario Götze transfer summed up to around 100 mio Euros (including wages etc), so around 80 mio for Lewa would be indeed acceptable.
