Re: Patrick Bamford
If they get promoted next season and he were to go back there and play a full PL season with them, he could be ready to be a part of the rotation at Chelsea by the season after

Re: Patrick Bamford
I'd argue it'd be too late in two seasons, I don't think Drogs will be around next season so we'll need a third CF at the start of next season.
If Bamford doesn't take that spot, we'll buy something, nullifying Bamford.

He doesn't defend well in corners like Torres. We need to recall El Nino.

I doubt that, but a loan to a PL club would be more realistic

Re: Patrick Bamford
There lies the problem, Fitty.
If he does get loaned out again, we'll need a third CF, so we'll buy one. Then Paddy's chances go out the window, Remy and Costa are both not at prime yet so they won't be going anytime soon and the new guy will, no doubt, be young and have room for improvement.
I can't see us replacing any with Bamford if we buy another CF.
He has to join us, or else he'll never play for us.

Re: Patrick Bamford
Would be good if a PL side took him on in Jan, although he probably wouldn't get the game time he'd need

Think it might be best for him to stay in the Championship for one last half a season.

In-form Patrick Bamford tells Boro and Chelsea he wants to stay at the Riverside for rest of the season:
Patrick Bamford has told Boro he wants to stay for the rest of the season and revealed his current scoring streak followed a summit meeting with boss Aitor Karanka

“I had a meeting with the gaffer and just said that I need to be playing more.”
“I played against Brentford and scored, but then I was in and out of the team.”
“I only started two or three games and then I had a meeting with him when I came back after the international break after the Brighton game.”
“I just said ‘I want to play, that’s why I have come here, I need to play, I can only show you what I can do if I am playing’, and he’s put his belief in me. I’ve played the games and proved him right, or proved myself right; that I can do it when I get a run of games together. I think that’s the important thing.”
“Things haven’t been tied up, the paperwork’s not been done. But I think it was about just before the Blackburn game on the Friday, Eddie Newton (Chelsea’s development coach) came up, which they do every so often, every couple of months, just to check how everything is, and just to go over my games and welfare.”
“Before he arrived I sat down with the gaffer (Karanka), looked through some of my (video) clips and told him that I wanted to stay until the end of the season, seeing how I am enjoying life here and to stay would make me happy, so I think they are on the case now pushing it towards Chelsea.”
“It’s also come out that the gaffer at Chelsea, Mourinho, is really happy with me being here as well. So I think it’s just finalising the details now, which shouldn’t be hard.”
