How good do you expect these players to be?

Problem with rating Pogba highly for me is that he is an all action, strong, tackle and shoot type of all-arounder. Which is great and all but he's neither a playmaker who will influence the flow of a game nor an out-and-out defensive specialist who will stop the opponent's playmaker to influence the game. Oscar and Thiago have the potential to become players that need to be stopped from playing their own game or they will cut you open with their passing and movement. You can build teams around them. Pogba just isn't that kind of player.

Tier 1: Neymar, Götze
Tier 2: Oscar, Thiago
Tier 3: Isco, Pogba, Balotelli, Hazard

Not entirely sure why Verratti is often under appreciated. At least as impressive as thiago whenever I watch psg, even though the standard of opposition isn't always high. Don't even think anyone else his age is as good under pressure and at making acute passing angles. Fairly explosive dribbler as well

Because he's an horrendous defender, one of the worst I've ever seen. But you're right he's in the Thiago mould of playmaking.

Exceptional passer of the ball, especially under pressure. I'd place in the third tier of midfielders along with Wilshere and Isco.

Gil, Verratti is not that bad of a defender, or at least he is improving. Physically he will always be limited, obviously.

Gil, say in 5 years, who do you think is going to be better, verratti or gundogan?
