JBL: "The Shield have taken out the Undertaker, we haven't seen him since."
He doesn't appear on RAW weekly anyway. I know it's a way to give the Shield credibility, but still.

Or he's hyping up an angle where Taker comes back and gets his revenge on the shield. There is always the possibility that he faces Roman Reigns at Mania (although its unlikely to happen this year)

Lost count of how many times they've done the whole 'nobody has seen 'taker since' thing. It's been going on for years. I wouldn't read much into it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
When WWE first had Daniel Bryan join The Wyatt Family on RAW a few weeks back, they had two matches lined up for him at WrestleMania XXX - one that would see him still a member of the group and one that would have had him back to being a babyface.
There was no real solid plan on turning Bryan back babyface but it was not supposed to happen just two weeks later, like they ended up doing.
The idea was that Bryan would either turn back at Elimination Chamber, setting up Bryan vs. Bray at WrestleMania XXX, or he would turn at WrestleMania after coming out for a tag match with Wyatt. This would have guaranteed the big babyface reaction at WrestleMania.
Word within WWE is that the company was "100% fully embarrassed" by the footage of the Michigan State crowd all chanting "yes!" in unison. The footage ended up everywhere online and on TV shows, with Bryan and WWE getting a mention.
WWE wanted to run with the Daniel Wyatt storyline but, "when you have a whole college arena doing "yes!" chants and most likely others will, plus NFL stars in the post-season doing it," WWE felt they had no choice but to hurry and turn Bryan back on RAW.

Regarding Ryback's crazy tweets as of late, the idea is that talents will be pushed to do different things on social media during slow times on the weekend to get fans talking when there is nothing going on. It was noted that Ryback is a perfect person for this job because there are people within WWE who think he's nuts.

WWE officials are hoping to get 75,000 fans chanting "YES!" at WrestleMania XXX. The previous big idea involving the crowd was to do Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara with everyone wearing lucha masks but that's been nixed.

Should be a 5'10 height restriction on men who are allowed to take part at WM
Unless in Daniel Bryans case, they have a legit beard.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
As noted earlier, Daniel Bryan was advertised to perform at the Hammond, Indiana live event last night but was unable to because of the concussion that he suffered on Monday's RAW.
When the announcement was made by Tony Chimel, the crowd was not happy and Chimel was booed heavily. To make good on the situation, WWE announced that fans could get refunds if they wanted.
Daniel Bryan the draw.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Regarding Daniel Bryan's concussion suffered on last week's RAW, the feeling is still that it's pretty serious. As noted, he was kept off this weekend's live events and was at home resting.
Bryan managed to get through the match last week without missing any spots.
However, at the end of the show when he was on top of the cage leading the "yes!" chants, right before the show ended Bryan suddenly stopped and sat there, looking around like he was unsure. A WWE stagehand laid on the ground, looked up at him and started gesturing for him to keep chanting.
Bryan just looked at the guy seemingly completely confused. Bryan later told WWE officials that he barely remembered anything that happened in the cage.
Word going around this weekend is that Bryan's planned Royal Rumble match against Bray Wyatt is off.
Backstage, Bryan's big moment was a hot topic. A source said, "The whole backstage was in awe. Vince McMahon loves Bryan."

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Tonight's WWE RAW takes place from the Wright State University's Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. Confirmed for tonight's Royal Rumble go-home show is the return of Batista and Brock Lesnar returning to confront Big Show.
WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight:
* Will Brock Lesnar break his own rule and fight for free?
* Will Batista go after Alberto Del Rio?
* Is the gruesome Daniel Bryan & Bray Wyatt rivalry coming to a head?
* How will John Cena react to Randy Orton attacking his father?
* Has "The Big Red Monster" Kane been resurrected?

dat Spartan influence
It happened at a basketball game against Ohio State a couple of weeks back. The MSU football players came on the court at half-time to celebrate their win in the Rose Bowl. One of them started doing the "yes" chant and the Izzone (the innermost part of the arena reserved for the hardcore MSU fans) caught right on. The rest of the arena followed suit right after as well.
It was amazing honestly.

The "Will Brock fight for free" angle thing
He breaks that storyline rule every time he attacks somebody. He's broken it twice already with Henry.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
I remember when people were hyping Bryan a few years ago when he was U.S. champion. I always thought he was generic, bland and he had no gimmick, just good in the ring. However he's come a long way since then.
It was Bryan, Ziggler, Rhodes and Barrett who were seen as the up and coming midcarders. Barrett, Ziggler and Rhodes haven't done much to improve over the past few years.
