he deal for Batista to return during WrestleMania XXX season is something he and Triple H have been working on for several months now. Batista will be working TV tapings, pay-per-views and even some live events. The deal will see him stick around for at least some time after WrestleMania XXX.

Before announcing it on RAW last night, the original idea was that he return as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. WWE had copy of the promotional materials that were scheduled to be sent out to local arenas and one theory is that those were sent out prematurely without a notice to hold it back until he had already debuted at the Rumble. To say that WWE officials were upset is an understatement. One WWE source joked that it was a good thing Vince McMahon was overseas visiting troops when the return leaked or he may have killed someone.

If WWE does reach an agreement for Bill Goldberg to return at WrestleMania XXX, he will be in great shape. Goldberg noted on Twitter that he still trains 6 days a week.

PWInsider is now reporting that WWE has planned for Batista to return on the January 20th RAW since early last week, in hopes that will help spike the RAW ratings for that night.

It's now being reported that the advertising snafu from last week had nothing to do with WWE having him return on the January 20th RAW and the announcement last night.

I always thought you guys were exaggerating a little too much about how bad the shows were and for most part I disagreed with you.

But seeing the past few RAWs, especially the ones after Orton won both the titles, I can't help but think there are a bunch of children drafting stories in crayon or on paint. And using multi colors.

Nah no matter who's in charge, there will always be a degree of comic relief and HHH will obviously do it to some degree

But HHH himself is always involved in serious storylines. He's the one who's bringing batista back, he's the one behind the 'push' of the Wyatts. He's getting some serious shit done. Meanwhile the rest of the powers that be are doing 'Will christmas be cancelled' shit

WWE is advertising the January 6th RAW, the first RAW show of 2014, as having an "Old School" theme. The show will be held in Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Arena.

The dark main event being advertised is John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Title with Booker T as special referee. At this point, no other Legends are being advertised yet.

Will probably be an episode where Jim Duggan teams with Santino as usual, Dusty Rhodes will appear, Ron Simmons backstage saying 'damn' etc.

If they want to do old school, it needs to be like an attitude era episode. Get Austin, Rock etc all back.
