Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Should be fun, first time playing in 3 weeks. Hoping that I'll be able to play the whole time, strained my eye 2 weeks ago and they told me it'd be 6-12 weeks before I'd have normal vision again. I get double vision when I try to look left to right peripherally.
So I'm going to sit my ass on the right side all day. Inverted winger

In other news just played some rec basketball which was fun. My whole team is full of soccer players yet we only lost 32-17. Got 2 points in 1/2 shooting with a rebound, assist, and a steal.
Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
It's December 20th and tomorrow will be 56 degrees (13 celsius) - I will be playing beach volleyball and feel as if Christmas has come early this year! I'm a little worried about the environment and all, but that doesn't mean I won't be taking advantage of it.

Christmas has come early this year. My European history teacher (who was also my AP Psych teacher last year) let me borrow two of her Scientific American Mind magazines over break.
So psyched

It's been over 40 degrees for the last 2 days. That's 104 Fahrenheit according to Google.

I forgot the one drawback of indoors, the ball is always in play. Yeah, I'm icing down my legs now, and going to drop a couple pain killers. However, it was indeed, glorious.

@Moto Feel brother, better...I literally am just getting in from playing all day. We only managed 3 games on that icy/wet court and I ended up checking out Central Park when I got back to Manhattan. My legs are like soaked Ramen Noodles

You guys are crazy
Apparently we're supposed to get 5-10 inches today through tomorrow. Here's to hoping! I doubt we'll get anything though, that's usually how these predictions turn out.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
It snowed heavily in these parts a week ago, but the last few days have consisted of cold rain which has mostly got rid of the snow. I hope it snows one more time before Christmas.
And yeah, I actually love indoor, perhaps even more-so than outdoor due to the fact that I play more outdoor than indoor and my indoor team actually passes the ball while my outdoor teams always end up playing like Stoke on a cold night at the Britannia. People still try to be selfish on my indoor team and take people on without passing when they can, but there gets a point in every game where people think to themselves 'hmm, we're failing in everything we do right now; perhaps we should listen to Eman' and then we play exciting tiki-taka football
You're always on the ball in indoor and you have the chance to make up for your mistakes right away after making them. I normally go home with less regrets over how I played.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
I've always played on more organized indoor teams, so that might lead to some bias. I think that might be one of the reasons I'm leaning towards indoor, however when you find the right team outdoor (never played 11v11), it can be quite fun. I find that indoor makes you a better outdoor player - you have less space and it requires more control. I guess it really comes down to teammates and such, but I don't think I could choose one over the other.
As far as volleyball, I have become much more of an outdoor player. Less people, more control/skill required and I find that playing in the sand makes you a stronger player indoors.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
We just got like 8 inches of snow today.
It rocked.
It still rocks.
Oh, and I love indoor, probably more than outdoor. Not that I'm bad at outdoor, but it corresponds better with my skills (dribbling in tight spaces, quick 1-2 exchanges and one touch passing). It's also typically just more fun and less serious, so I think it's more fun.
What I enjoy more though...that's a toughie.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Eh, I prefer outdoor because my control isn't very good, so the larger pitch allows for me to cover my mistakes better and make better use of my decent pace.
How have you guys been tolerating the heat? (stuff you Americans)
It's better now, but 30+ upstairs without air conditioning or a fan is torture .
