Goal Legacy Official Championship

OK guys I think it would be cool if we had an official Goal Legacy Championship. This is a way to make games we watch in chat more exciting. In real life the two clubs we are watching are probably not playing for anything more than 3 points but for us they will be playing for the GL Championship.

For example Team X (let's say Everton) who is the champion plays Team Y ( let's say Arsenal) who is the challenger, the winner of the game is our GL EPL champion and has to defend the title on the next matchday. So if Everton retain the championship against Arsenal they defend their belt against the team they face in the next match day (for example Southampton).

In Chat we decided that we will have three belts. A EPL Belt, La Liga Belt and Seria A belt. Plus we will also have a CL Super Belt.

These four clubs will be the official champions of GL and hopefully every week their games will be the ones that we care about the most.

I would like your help, so if we could all keep records or even design new belts this thread could be great.

Which league? Can it be CL? I think we should agree about this.

The belt

Fck it I'm taking this into my own hands.

Next matchday the first game to have goal in all the top three leagues will be the first championship game.

Winner of that game will be the first ever GL champion.

EDIT (by top three leagues I mean Spain, England and Italy, Ligue 70% and Bundespoverty not included)

I propose a GL Heavyweight championship and 3 more titles for the top 3 leagues (England, Italy, Spain).

Problem with that is it may get hard to update. It would work if we had a bunch of people following all three championships.

Write the rules out properly in the OP zeal. Bit confusing atm

Right, I can be in charge of Serie A title. 3 more people can be in charge for CL, EPL and La Liga. That would make it easier.

I can be in charge for La Liga. We can leave CL open since I think most people will follow that one closely.

Isn't it alittle unfair to the last team to play if we gave the belt to the team that scored first

It is but we have to start somewhere lol

Also to clarify the first team to score is not the champ. What I meant was the first game to have a goal becomes the championship game, the winner of that game becomes the champ.

Do you want the first goal rule or have the default big games for the championship next week? Man Utd vs Everton for EPL championship, Roma vs Fiorentina for Serie A championship and Atletico Madrid vs Valencia for La Liga championship next week.

If the matches are a draw we will choose alternate championship games (eg: Barca vs Villarael)

You know that the Top 3 leagues are Spain, England and Germany?

Bundesliga has Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen as top match next week, btw.

Sounds like a great idea. Wouldn't it be better if the current table topper start as the champions?

how about if its a draw, the winner goes to the away team for the away goal advantage. Sounds really cool but l think just choosing a different game and removing the champions status seems a little messy. Because a draw away from home would be just as bad as loosing. And lf the game is the last one of the day then people could have been watching the game where the champion is being chosen but not even know it as they'd have to gain the status retroactively.
