And Basel did the double on Chelsea :coffee:

Good luck to Chelsea in the knock-out stages, though :coffee:

I am guessing you are talking about Bangladesh. First priority is always given to PL clubs and Madrid/Barca as they have the most fans.
Yeah I know (and been suffering for) that. But WHY! What sort of logic drives them (to be nuts)!!!

Chelsea need to win/draw their last game as, if they lose no matter what the result is between schalke and basel they will finish second (hope we play them in the last 16) Mou's face when Ronaldo scores a hattrick and substitute Jese scores a solo goal Proud

Napoli were horrible against Dortmund and only have themselves to blame for the result. Dortmund left such a huge gap between the cbs and dm it was a travesty they couldn't get more chances. Benitez is such an idiot for starting Mertens over Insigne.

Btw Alderweiled is crap. Everytime I see him I think Atletis b team center backs can do better than him

Didn't watch Arsenal but they are through so they must have done something right. Ozil missed a penalty I heard. Not a good start to his Arsenal career it seems. We have two fighters who play in the position he started in so we haven't/won't miss him, he should learn to improve his fitness if he wants to get anywhere. Wont be long until subbing Ozil will become a normality at Arsenal like it was for Real. his season usually starts after Christmas anyways

Barca Laughing anyone else thinks that wasn't even a penalty?? it looked like the foul was on the line rather than inside the penalty area. I can't believe we decided to sit back and hoof in the first half against this side. But it was Carlos first game so ill forgive him

The real fun fact was that Chelsea only managed 0 (or 1, depending on the sources) shots on goal against Basel. Yann Sommer could have taken a Playstation with him and it wouldn't have mattered much. Heck, he even decided to play libero once or twice and ran far out of his box so that he didn't freeze between the sticks. Very Happy

Ozil missed a penalty but got an assist so all in all not bad I think. He's improving his fitness slowly, has been playing every single game since joining, rarely subbed or subbed very late. I think Arsenal fans watched enough Ozil to recognize him as "luxury player", not in negative light of course, he drifted in and out of the game a lots but pop up at right time to get some key contribution hence his stats. It is what Arsenal needs since he's playing around bunch of tireless runners.

I was really disappointed in Benitez' selections for Dortmund v Napoli.
Fernandez over Britos?
Mertens over Insigne?
Dzemaili over Inler?

Poor. Poor. Poor.

Reina is an incredible GK though, could've been much worse for Napoli. Also, Lewa's finishing leaves a lot to be desired - but his playmaking was superb - as was Mkhitaryan's.

Anyone watching Bayern - Cska?

2-1 atm, Honda has just scored a penalty.

Lahm was subbed off in the 25th minute, Thiago came on for Lahm.

Gotze scored a great solo goal.

I ask myself this about practically every 'pundit' in this country, apart from Gary Neville, who actually knows his shit.

Souness comes across as bitter whenever he discusses United, now that SAF has left. It's like he wants Moyes to fail badly, maybe? He was never like this before.

Anyways, that United performance. I'm so Proud

Let's pray Fellaini never starts for us again. Kagawa starting at #10 is vital. The guy opens up the pitch so well. Been saying this for a while but this has confirmed it for me, Jones could be a great mf. The guy breaks up play and shifts the ball quicker than that side show bob *bleep* vagi-ini

Would love for Kagawa to be our permanent no.10, but the only way he would start there is unfortunately if either Rooney or RVP is out.

Peter Staunton is an epic commentator, never fails to make me laugh.
Especially the last line in that pic is just rubbing it in for no reason. He could've just written "Madrid have more money than Arsenal", said the same, and not have been a dick.

Leverkusen were awful. Narrow in attack, out of shape in defence. There was no attempt to press Manchester United at all and the set pieces (attacking and defending) were horrific. Not one player in their team played well against Man U.

I feel sorry for Lars Bender who would have probably developed into a better player at a better club. As for the rest of them - Kiessling and Leno included - they are not even fit to shine the shoes of Dortmund's bench players (and I do acknowledge that Sidney Sam was missing for them). It is a constant amazement to me how Leverkusen are even mentioned in the same breadth as Bayern and Dortmund. Even more extraordinary is that they are second in the Bundesliga (above Dortmund). I can only put this down to a poor run of form by Dortmund recently and Leverkusen having the quality to beat all the other little teams with non-existent defending in the Bundesliga.

Giving credit where credit is due, Man U ripped Leverkusen apart in the most conventional and efficient ways possible despite missing some key players. They did everything right - quick on the counter, good at set pieces, and through balls to wingers cutting in from the flanks in behind the defence. It could've been worse for the Germans if Anderson had finished off a glorious chance after laying the ball off to Nani and receiving a superb ball back - instead he shanked it wide.

Leverkusen are far, far, far worse than any of the second placed teams in Italy, England or Spain, and are an embarrassment for the Bundesliga on the European stage. Sadly, Man U will in all likelihood defeat Shakhtar - and even if they don't, Leverkusen will defeat the other great pretenders Real Sociedad to advance to the next stage of the Champions League. Leverkusen are probably the weakest team that will progress to the round of 16.
