Schwarzer will surely know he cannot and probably will not play many games, if we said to him: We want to buy a third GK in Jan, so you won't be in the squad til next season, as Cech will leave in the summer.

He would probably accept that.

So why does it matter?

Bring in a new 3rd GK until Cech finds a new home, promote them to 2nd and have either Blackman or Beeney as 3rd.

Opens up 2 new non-homegrown spots for us.

Also, Cesc - Matic is better against most teams than any partnership with Khedira.
