Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
de jong poli montolivo should be playing, i dont think kaka will play full game again, but he could be useful. i hope balotelli and el sharawwy is back.
actually i can see our game be a bit decent, if all the players i have mentioned makes a comeback.

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
Balotelli and El Shaarawy confirmed to miss this match.
If somehow we could just recreate the 1st leg of our R16 match, that was absolute perfection. Unlikely with both El Shaarawy and Pazzini out, they were super important.

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
as much as i would like for kaka to play as a starter. i would say birsa is a safer bet. we wouldn't want to get kaka worn out so easily because in this game we will have to defend more and work hard more anyway with balotelli el sharawwy and other high profile absence.Rickinch wrote:more importantly...Birsagol or Kaka as starter?

Congratulations to Barca, they manhandled us. At no point did we deserve to win, hopefully we can still make R16

Goalkeepers: Amelia, Coppola, Andrenacci (no. 60).
Defenders: Abate, Constant, Mexes, Silvestre, Zaccardo, Zapata.
Midfielders: Birsa, De Jong, Emanuelson, Kakà, Montolivo, Muntari, Nocerino, Poli.

The match kicks off tomorrow evening at 20:45 CET at San Siro.
Amelia
Defense
Monty--NDJ--Poli
-------Birsa
----Balo-----Robinho
Wouldn't mind Muntari, as his physicality is extremely handy, and can always help out in defense
Pivotal match for Birsex, as he is an unknown quantity in the CL
As for the decision between Matri and Robinho, it really is just choosing who's the shiniest turd
I just hope Amelia gets his shit together

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
Even though a lot of insufferable Milan fans pleasure themselves when Juve concede a goal for about 6 months straight and don't shut up about it. I'll probably find my self wanting Milan to win this.
Neymar and co. disgust me. I can not stand play acting pieces of *bleep* so I could never route for them.

"Even though a lot of insufferable Milan fans pleasure themselves when Juve concede a goal for about 6 months straight and don't shut up about it"... its the same thing that you guys do to us and taunt us. but its called "healthy rivalry" and obviously its going to be that way that we guys say something would dart u guys, and the other way.Tomwin Lannister wrote:Even though a lot of insufferable Milan fans pleasure themselves when Juve concede a goal for about 6 months straight and don't shut up about it. but anyway in Europe, I am glad that serie a fans give each other support. we also want juve to do well in europe.
Yeah barca are obviously great team but they make dirty acts more often to get advantage when they have so much capability to win without any dramas. so I am hoping a clean game.

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
I understand that Muntari does give more physical strength more than poli, but by now everybody knows that poli is the best midfielder for us alongside de jong, then montolivo, and it still baffles me that poli doesn't get first preference ahead of muntari. i dont know why allegri doesnt field his best players.El Shaarawy wrote:Goalkeepers: Amelia, Coppola, Andrenacci (no. 60).

I have to admit, muntari has done good deeds recently, but this guy is so unstable, he is always trying to pull off some ugly moves and we know that barca players sometimes or most of the time makes a meal out of it.
meanwhile actually poli is the midfielder who has i think made more passes without misses, and is more effective keeps simple, plays efficient game.
i wouldnt be surprised allegri chooses muntari ahead of poli but keeping best player on the bench is b.s.
amelia is another headache, this guy, can't do s..t and all he does is gaze the ball. positioning is piss poor.
lastly , like u said el sharawwy yeah robinho or matri, lol they are both rubbish anyway.

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri remains optimistic regarding the availability of striker Mario Balotelli for their Champions League match against Barcelona.
The Italy international missed Saturday's 1-0 victory over Udinese due to a thigh injury, while his status for Tuesday's match remains in question.
Allegri refused to rule out the possibility of the 23-year-old being fit to feature against the Blaugrana, explaining that he will wait closer to kick-off before deciding whether the forward will play.
"Balotelli is doing better," the Rossoneri boss told reporters.
"We'll check on his condition in training today and we'll see if he can be called up.
"The physical condition of the side is improving. We all have to work in the same direction."
Despite a growing list of injuries, Allegri believes his team are capable of repeating their 2-0 home victory over the Catalan giants in last season's round of 16 first-leg clash.
"It will be a fascinating game for everybody," the former Cagliari coach mused.
"We need to play with courage and sacrifice against the best team in the world to get three points and increase our chances of qualifying.
"I believe that tomorrow Milan will perform well, we must try to make as few mistakes as possible. Barcelona will control the ball more than us, so we have to play a game similar to last year's."
Milan sit second in Group H with four points from two matches, while Barcelona have a 100 per cent record.

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
I think Barcelona will play it smart here , they aren't going to come and attack us all the time as they did last season . They only gave us one option that of the counter and since they could not break us down , they lost.
I think this time it will be slightly different for both teams. Obviously Barcelona will have the upper hand here and that goes without a doubt , but i think we can attack them too , besides the obvious effort on the counter.
Milan - Barcelona , always a great game . I hope we can do well , but i struggle to see it with 6 main players off and Amelia having his debut to the season against Barcelona ..
Let's hope for a decent game in any case , forza Milan . oh BTW ,
Zapata v Messi

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
we were lucky we survived this game.
seriously, poli who is one of our best midfielder is not a starter, and muntari who was a joke, is always a starter.... its a .. kin joke!!!
kaka was the only bright player in the entire game, he was even covering muntari's dirty work... he was just worn out... and yet allegri plays muntari full game!!! that guy could have got red!!

Re: AC Milan vs Barcelona
Muntari played quite good, that was a good call by Allegri.
What was not a good call is starting Zapata.
