Re: FIFA 14 discussion
EA has released a 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil demo.
The taster allows users to play as Mexico, Brazil, USA, England, Australia, Japan, New Zealand or Ivory Coast.
The demo is available now on Xbox 360 and weighs in at 1.66 GB. A PS3 version will launch in the US later today and in Europe tomorrow when the weekly PS Store updates are rolled out.
The full game will launch exclusively on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 15. It will feature 203 national teams, 7,469 players, 19 officially licensed managers, and 21 new stadiums including all 12 venues hosting this summer's World Cup matches.
EA also says it will offer "the deepest set of modes seen in a tournament title". Modes on offer include 'Road to the FIFA World Cup', 'Road to Rio de Janeiro', 'Captain your Country', 'Story of Finals', '2014 FIFA World Cup' and 'Story of Qualifying'. You can check out some of the game modes in the latest 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil trailer.
CVG's recent 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil preview concluded: "Rather than churn out a patched version of FIFA 14 with international teams and fresh kits (which would still have sold by the lorryload), EA Canada has put together a more forward-thinking footy game, elements of which will no doubt make it into FIFA 15."

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
This should have just been made DLC for the current games but I mean the size of the game is way too much.

In the next FIFA they need to do something in manager mode that makes it more interesting to play beyond a few seasons. I'm mid-way through season 3 with Roma and I'm pretty bored now.

Yeh career mode always gets boring after a bit. Only thing worth looking forward to is the transfer windows.

Won the league with Celta Vigo by a single point. Gonna get some cash and improve the team, then set the next season to legendary, as I've been playing world class for too long.

They should just make it easier to switch clubs. That would keep things interesting.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
For me, I like the idea of pulling a SAF at Old Trafford but there just isn't anything that captivating about manager mode to do so. The transfer windows are absurd with teams like RM, Barca, Bayern, and ManC dominating the market and paying ridiculous fees every window. Its highly unrealistic which makes it boring for mesilver wrote:gb wrote:In the next FIFA they need to do something in manager mode that makes it more interesting to play beyond a few seasons. Well the other problem is every match is the same. The only difference is you get handicapped in away matches which isn't unique as much as it is frustrating. It doesn't matter if you play Stoke or Liverpool, every team plays the same. You hardly ever have to change formations or personals to win matches.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
I downloaded the fifa world cup demo and I must say EA has lost the plot.
In what world is Oscar rated "84"? That is insane. Waaaayy too high for him. Its only 2 less than Yaya Toure.

He's having a good season, has scored 8 goals in the PL, the fifth highest for a midfielder. I don't see why he wouldn't be rated 84.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
Ratings are the least of my worries; this game is made for kids. The gameplay takes whatever is wrong with FIFA 14 and makes it even more wrong. More ridiculous laser accurate passing. Eye catching shots having high possibility of ending in the back of the net. Sigh...Betty La Fea wrote:I downloaded the fifa world cup demo and I must say EA has lost the plot.

It is just to woo little kids so they spend their parents' money on this awful game this summer.

Re: FIFA 14 discussion
It's certainly better than FIFA 13. The pace, lob through balls etc is all toned down too. Much better on next gen.

You mean a game has been designed to target/exploit a specific audience and earn as much money as possible? I am shocked! SHOCKED I tell you!
