I cannot stress how appalling I find FIFA 14. I only play online and my record has been fantastic on paper but every match seems like a tiring battle between me and the game.

I've been thinking about putting it on ebay soon.

There's no official list yet, but apparently it makes the gameplay faster.

Also the dynamic camera is fixed.

Really good game. They REALLY need to tone down the lofted through balls though. Everyone online does it even for short lasses because for some reason it makes the defenders have a brainfart and freeze up every time. Besides that though its great.

It isn't just headers. It is lobbed through balls. And shooting. I don't remember the last time I missed the target, even from 25 yards out. Also I seem to score and concede at every corner. It has really come down to the team with most corners ending up winning the match Laughing

Butt yeah, it lacks balance in the way you can score goals, some methods work too well compared to others.

Update will come to consoles next week:

• Balancing lofted through balls.
• Balancing attacking headers.
• Balancing finesse shots.
• Improved defender switching during crosses.
• Freezes while making substitutions during gameplay.
• Freezes while entering and exiting Leaderboards.
• Improvements made to Dynamic Camera.
• Corrected crowd sections in Signal Iduna Park.
• Corrected “Any” and “GK” filters in Pro Clubs.
• We've responded to the community and upgraded FIFA 14 cover star Stephan El Shaarawy to 4* Skills in Online Seasons, Head to Head, and Career Mode using EA SPORTS Football Club Match Day. Since the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team ratings and database are separate from the Match Day Update, he will be assessed and potentially upgraded in FUT at a later date.

We've located some of the issues causing freezing throughout the game, but not all of them. Please continue to let us know about specific instances on the EA forums as your feedback has helped immensely. There are a small percentage of remaining crashing/freezing instances and the team will continue to investigate and address them as needed. Thanks for your patience during this time.

I seriously don't get Pro clubs

You can bend a perfectly hit shot to the bottom corner in the box, the GK will save it with relative ease. He'll even save some insane top corner attempts from time to time

A weak header from 15 yards? What does the GK do? He stands on the spot and slowly dives after the ball has reached the goal line. It's ridiculous, makes no sense and is a huge game design flaw. We wouldn't even have to worry about crosses being hard to defend if the GK was half as good at diving for headers than he is for powerful shots.

Also, GKs need to claim more crosses. A small man standing in the 6 yard box should never get the ball ffs. And the player controlling the 'ANY' should not have to manually control the GK just to tell him to come out 2 feet and catch the ball.

If EA had actually watched a GK they'd understand saving 1v1s like it's nothing is rare and coming out to collect deep crosses is 100% mandatory and anything else is just bad goalkeeping.

Still need to fix stamina. If a player constantly sprints box to box the whole game, he should be tired by 70min.

Always gets my ass kicked playing against Chelsea. Luiz and Mikel are unbeatable and their infinite stamina makes them impossible to bypass.

And I cannot believe they haven't fixed the scheduling in Career mode yet. All year I have games two days after my previous game, sometimes 3 games in 6 days. And I seem to always have a CL match before/after a big PL game. Ridiculous.

And while we're at it I don't think lofted through balls are the main problem, it is defensive positioning which makes them so overpowered.

I hate 14.

EA just creates a new theme/skin for the layout and that's it. I don't think I can handle another day of extremely slow menu navigation..

Is there any way my player can pass the ball without controlling it ? Or shoot for that matter I find it stupid that my player has to control a gk rebound

playing the computer is a total waste of time in 14, it's not even fun anymore

11 men behind the ball, no one ever out of position, pinpoint air through balls from beyond the halfway line :facepalm:

looks like no career mode for me this year, not worth it

Also every CPU team high pressures for 90 mins, which is unrealistic. Only teams who high pressure in real life should be high pressing.

I dunno Career mode has been interesting though I think that scouting mode is rather garbage...throw any amount of instructions for what you're looking for and send 3 scouts out and they'll come up empty handed week and week. That feature needs some serious work.

As for the gameplay itself, I personally enjoy playing the game itself though I'm still not a fan of the turning when the balls comes to you. Players who should be able to skillfully turn on the ball after receiving turn like steamboats. The overall gameplay itself is still a tad too slow as well.
