Re: The Official 2014 Road to Brazil World Cup Qualifying Thread
Argentina satisfied with a draw. 1-1
i dont disagre, what a horrible place to play a game. forwards didnt do anything special, they really didnt like playing there. messi standing still for 5 minutes, just spectating, with di maria on the other side doing the same. who whats to play at 3600m height, ridicilous.

England draw with Montenegro.. which mostly likely mean, Montenegro will "cruise" to the World Cup now.
Montenegro has been in existence for like 6 years as an Independent country, and already on their way to their first World Cup..

There's a possibility Albania makes it too
Considering the group... it's not impossible.

Ecuador beating on Paraguay 3-1 This puts them 4 points behind us with a game in hand.

Seriously this team is sooo shite. I feel bad for Luisito. Cavani is awful, he's a fraud.

Chile and Uruguay are both very poor teams.. I can't imagine any of them really fighting out of their group if they make it to the World Cup tbh.. one of them will not make it in place of Venezuela.

Miku and Vinotinto with some great play and Miku should have scored.
Great cross by Bacca(who just came on and has been beasting) and Falcao misses a sitter, he choked.

Great save Venezuelas keeper against Bacca at the death.
Colombia fall to a hardworking Venezuela 1-0 FT.
Rondon what a player, just a physical specimen. need to see this player in a top league
Waiting for Mehico and USA now

Re: The Official 2014 Road to Brazil World Cup Qualifying Thread
Rondon is so goat.
But we were dominating the entire game. With Peckerman going with the "All or Nothing" with Falcao, Teo, and Bacca.
Rodriguez had a poor game and should have been subbed off instead of Macnelly tbh.
We played very well and deserved a draw but Falcao hit the post.

Yeah they got the early goal and sat back. Effective tactics, unfortunate for Colombia. Two losses in a row will suck

You earn goals, not deserve them.
Colombia still have a game in hand as do Ecuador.. that will be a momentous game.

Re: The Official 2014 Road to Brazil World Cup Qualifying Thread
Ecuador are straight garbage away from the altitude. They've won all six of their home games but are yet to win away from home. They'll fail miserably at the WC like always.
I thought FIFA banned WC qualifying matches from being played at extremely high altitudes a while back. Does anyone know what excuse they gave to backtrack on such a clear issue.
I guess FIFA gives all countries an equal chance to bribe them. As long as your money is good, it doesn't matter if you're Bolivia or Ecuador.

Given that Chile's coach only has 2 matches to his name isn't this a bit premature?Catracho wrote:Chile and Uruguay are both very poor teams.. I can't imagine any of them really fighting out of their group if they make it to the World Cup tbh.. one of them will not make it in place of Venezuela.

What's so clear about it? You're going to tell Bolivians and Ecuatorians they can't play in their own homes?elitedam wrote:Ecuador are straight garbage away from the altitude. They've won all six of their home games but are yet to win away from home. They'll fail miserably at the WC like always.

Argentina to face Colombia at home and Ecuador away on the next FIFA date. That will be tough.

They lost in Peru and didn't look good at all, and scraped by a sorry Uruguayan side...
Venezuela qualifies directly, Chile goes to play-off where it wins in PKs, while Luis Suarez contemplates life decisions from home over the summer.

stop it.. this sounds like hate to me broyo.
Ecuador drew in Venezuela where Colombia and Argentina have fallen, while also drawing in Uruguay which is never an easy task.
Ecuador hasn't lost in Quito in like 20 odd years or something as ridiculous, and I don't see it happening now.. they'll most likely see off Argentina, who look very different when they play away than they do at home and will probably nick more points away from home.
