Pogba wants wages quadrupled?

According to Sport Mediaset, Paul Pogba’s agent has asked Juventus to quadruple his wages.

The 20-year-old midfielder arrived a year ago on a free transfer from Manchester United and has quickly become a mainstay in the squad.

However, he still earns only a reported €0.8m per season and a new contract is going to be thrashed out.

Sport Mediaset claim Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has demanded wages of €4m per season, whereas the offer from Juventus is closer to €1.5m.

The France international has become hot property on the transfer market after Juve turned down a £20m bid from Arsenal this summer.

I am starting to think that Juve did not spend much this summer because they knew that significant pay raises would be due for a number of players on the club and expenses needed to be reduced within the club. Plus, add in Tevez and Llorente's wages. We have been fortunate to get by with lower wages for players like Vidal and Pogba, but they are both due for big raise.

I wouldn't trust mediaset ever, it is very unreliable.

But if this is true it's no suprise. Pogba deserves higher wages so we should have expected this like you said Juventude

He does deserve a higher salary, but not more than 3m per anum

Although quadruple sounds bad, what he's asking for isn't unreasonable.

He's now a first team player, and say he signed until 2018, he'd be on 4M/season until he was in his mid 20's.

Perfectly reasonable tbh.

Pogba is currently on a 0.8m euros per year. Quadrupled wages take that to 3.2m. That's not bad.

I think roughly £3,000,000 per season is fine from todays standards.


If I was so highly rated and young, i'd want to make as much money as possible so long as it was at a top club. Not just jumping ship to an obscure league of course.

I don't trust this report but its Raiola you never know
