Really doesn't make sense why we'd sell probably the best AM in the World and the 2nd best player at the club.

The team should have been built around him. Instead we get Bale who we really didn't need. No

It really didn't make sense. But bale is here now and Ozil is gone.

It's a bit disappointing.

i dont know why anyone is surprised? perez is footbally-challenged. he always has been. it was retarded to let him be president again after his world record gaffes during his first term. he did not deserve another chance. anyone with half a brain knew he would make the same mistakes again, and now he did. the grass is green too. nothing different. we will watch ugly football now. bale and cristiano the 2 mindless wingers running like horses down the wings then cutting in to see who can take more inaccurate hard shots until it goes in, giving the occasional cross/pass to benzema to shoot 350 meters wide or over every time. isco is the only good thing now offensively.

i have a question. why are you blaming perez when it's zidane and Ancelotti in charge? i am no perez fan but come on, open your eyes.

Bale was always coming, so we could have easily gone with Ozil and Bale. But we signed Isco...

Isnt the real issue that the coaching staff chose Isco over Ozil?

insulting Perez in this case is misguided imo, however upset you are. Who are in charge? Zidane and Ancelotti.

Perez wanted bale, Carlo said before that he is happy with the squad and didn't want any more players or sell. Ultimately I believe that it was Perez that said yes to the bid.

Whole our management should go to hell. You don't sell one of your best players in couple previous season to bring in the latest fad (not blaming Bale here, who seems a quite nice fellow and is not a bad player). Just shows that our management don't have any clear plan when it comes to building a team. Don't see any reason why Özil and Isco couldn't have coexisted in our team (without Bale).

Now I only have to hope that this will help Jese in the future although I don't have high hopes. Wouldn't be surprised at this point if we sell guys like Casillas, Marcelo and Jese next...

Last time I checked Özil said he is more than happy to stay and it's not like his performance was a reason to sell him either. It was all just politics, just like it was with Pellegrini and Robben (although I never liked Robben).

But good for you for posting constructive posts!

It's an agent's job to always keep options open regardless of whether a player is in good or bad standing at a club... that's why they get paid. This is especially important with such an unstable club as Madrid as your situation can change from one day to the next.

I don't blame Ozil's father for that part. His public comments in the past? Yeah, that was uncalled for. But being in contact with Arsenal and others is fine. CR7's agent is in constant contact with everyone too.

I think buying Bale for 100 mil and selling Ozil for 50 mil is cataclysmicly stupid. Ozil is the better talent and has been an elite player for 3 years. Bale has had one very good year... difference in age is 18 months. You're not going to tell whether Ozil can play RW in 125 mins of play.

But this is Flo. He gets his jollies by making big moves whether it makes sense footy-wise or not. Big reason why we've been a club in turmoil since he took over... great businessman, horrible football executive.

Is there like an article or something showing exactly why Ozil wanted to leave? All that's known is he was kinda unhappy over the past week.

It was really haphazard the way he left.

Ozil >  Bale as a talent
Ozil >  Bale as a player
Ozil >  Bale in terms of marketability
Ozil >  Bale aesthetically
Ozil > Bale as a fit with the team.

Ozil > Bale Q.F.T
