Defensively he is a great player.

But his attacking is quite poor and even though he's defensively better than say... Coentrao, the fact he often ends up pinned back works against us.

But he has looked more like his old self.

Asamoah just cant cross.It isnt helping that Lichtsteiner isnt a great crosser either.Need more output from the flanks.Need a guy who's a proper crosser.

You may find a better creator, but will you find a better player. To me Asamoah is a great fit and defensively he is amazing. I just don't think there's a large amount of great LWBs available that will be a great upgrade

Like I said, even if Llo one day gets in our team, his height and heading ability will be useless.

Aside from Pirlo, nobody puts in high crosses. So theres one of his strengths taken away.

I think our transfer season is over.We really need a LWB like Kolarov or Marcelo but im ok with our 3 new players.We have more quality and depth in our team now.
I agree about Licht and Asa poor crossing,that clearly makes Llo strong point useless.Licht and Asa are tireless and hardworker players but both are bad passers.We need to find a Licht replacement for next season and buy a good LWB so we can use Asamoah as CMF a position where he fits much better.

Italian champions Juventus will reportedly make Cagliari a transfer deadline day offer for Radja Nainggolan.

Although the chances of Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino selling are considered as low, the Old Lady are thought to be preparing an offer.

Juve are looking for a midfield reinforcement following the sale of Emanuele Giaccherini to Sunderland and Luca Marrone’s probable switch to Sassuolo.

We will probably see alot of Vucinic and Tevez as our primary strike force, with both players playing interchangeable roles as SS and CF.  And then we will see Gilardino and Giovinco coming on as subs or starting in some Serie A and Coppa Italia games. As for Llorente, he may become this year's version of Eljero Elia...

If you really believe that then you don't know Conte very well. Why would he make a last minute move for Gila just so he could be our 5th choice striker? Also Gilardino is a part of La Nazionale and has played in Serie A for 13 years. He has 160 goals in Serie A while Llorente has scored zero. As well Llorente has played a grand total of 3 minutes in 2 full matches. And when Conte decided to sub Vucinic last game he put in Quags not Llorente.

I could be wrong and Llorente cracks the first team or at the very least becomes first choice off the bench. But knowing Conte and how he operates I would suspect Gilardino comes to Juve as a first choice sub off the bench. Time will tell.

My prediction is Fernando Llorente becomes this year's version of Eljero Elia...

Exactly. Conte doesn't like to take risks. He would rather have a proven Serie A striker come off the bench than someone who has never played in the league. I actually like Llorente as a player but I could see this coming a mile away. The guy hasn't played regularly in over a year, never has played in a tough defensive league like Serie A where defenders are constantly draped all over you, unlike La Liga, and now Conte chooses to keep him on the bench even in garbage time. It's real easy to see that Conte does not prefer Llorente for whatever reason. He was free anyways, it's not like he cost us millions in transfer fees. His wages are high, so that tells me unless he is getting regular playing time his shelf life at Juve will be very short...
