Martinez has to get his team more focused defensively when they have a lead. That can cost them so many points this season if they just concede goals like this

We saw the brilliant side of Lukaku in the 1st half and his deficiencies in the 2nd. Hope more experience/Martinez's guidance helps him iron out those flaws and turn him into a complete player.

Defoliationeluelu was utter Shite, Distin is the most underrated CB in football and Ross Barkley is gonna be some player.

For Newcastle, Cabaye was unreal and Remy was a threat all night. Thought Anita was very good as well, Tiote and Cisse both useless.

Brainless player. Had one good run but was pretty poor. Shocking vision and a worrying lack of awareness/intelligence.

Still only just 20 though but nowhere near Barca quality right now.

Am I only one who think that second half saved Pardew's job?

Gouffran on right back most time in first half, long passes to lonely Remy in attack.

He displayed that level of fail in 17 minutes? In 17 minutes it was already clear he isnt Barca quality?

Then again it is Gil saying this, I should take it to mean he actually did well.

Lol ignore Gil. Deulofeu was decent. His running with the ball was very good, looked threatening going forward. Neat dribbling. Although his passing was poor.

Deulofeu doesn't need time to mature. He just needs time to play and will destroy the PL. He needs to mature a lot to be a rounded player, but not to make a difference in attack.

Deulofeu gave the ball away once ffs Laughing

Anyway this team really frustrates the life out of me.... most of it is down to Pardew but some of it is their own doing.

Firstly we cannot sit back and absorb pressure, none of our defenders are capable of it... not one.

How we defended in the second half is how we should defend going forward, press from the front and squeeze the midfield.

But Pardew playing Remy as a CF, Ben Arfa on the left and Gouffran on the right was utterly moronic.... i don't care how good Baines is playing your best player on the LW were he is utterly useless is f*cking pointless and Remy has been so damn effective on the LW aye lets move him against two big CBs... and its pretty common consensus that Gouffran is best as a CF.

Hopefully Pardew learns from these mistakes and we play more like we did in the 2nd half.... if that happens we'll be alright, not as good as i feel we are capable of but about as good as expected under Pardew.

If not then.... we might be in trouble again.

You are joking? :DHe is doing same mistakes for more than year playing with long passes even he don't have player for this, except probably Cisse. For example Sissoko again played in front of two midfielders in last 20 minutes (Tiote and Cabaye), even everyone know from last season that he is useless there.

I know that mate.... i think i just want to believe. Sad

The team is better than this but no one is going to see it unless Pardew leaves and the players will probably leave before he does....
