I guess in europa alone, he scored 4 goals in 5 matches, where he had started 4 matches. Overall he did score 10 goals but he had always got sub appearances in EPL so scored just 1. So that means may be he should start few matches to get on the scoring sheet.

Trust me, he looks a lot better than last year. He'll do really well for Liverpool, barring anything dramatic.

I still personally don't believe we need to add 20 goals to the side given that we had one of the most potent attacks in the league last season anyway. While it's always nice to get what the manager wants, I think in this case we may be fine without it... especially if the defensive arrivals can help us keep out a number of goals.

Assuming Sturridge can continue scoring at even a third of the pace he's shown since joining, he'll add another 10 to our squad in the first half of the season that we didn't have last year. Coutinho may be able to add 5 or so, and Henderson's form could see him at 5 to 10 depending on his game time. Add to that Aspas and Moses, Sterling and Borini (a fit Borini) and I can see us scoring enough.

julo cesar is better. inter fans didn't seem bothered when viviano he left us, i wasn't. not ready to start for a top side who want to compete for trophies. if he was still with us i believe he'd be 3rd choice... maybe even 4th, though we're stacked for good GK's. probably an improvement on schnezney, not sure it's by much though (atm)

Everyone's an improvement over Szczesny IMO.

Coates received several matches in the past few seasons, but despite some good moments has always looked a bit too casual on the ball and a step behind the rest of the players. He and Skrtel both had a 'mare against Oldham last season as well, which is the game that saw Carragher brought back into the first team and Coates's chances dry up completely. Rodgers wanted to loan Coates out for the season to get him regular game time and see if he could finally settle, but he picked up a knee injury and may miss the entire season.

I haven't seen Ilori play myself, but the scouting reports I've seen he's described as very fast for a CB.

Supposedly Ilori is rated by Sporting as the fastest player ever to come through their academy, placing him ahead of Nani and CR at the same age. Having never seen him do sprints, I can't comment on it myself, but even if that's hyperbole I'd assume he's got some speed.

As for Coates, he hasn't impressed yet with Liverpool and is out for the season. Skrtel is probably being sold to Napoli sometime today, as BR hasn't been a fan of him for some time and has been looking for a replacement since the window opened.
