I think Schurrle will be the one to suffer, actually.

A better question would be, is there anyone here that doesn't think that if the club knew Willian was going to be available in August, they would never have signed Schurrle in the first place? I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that's the case.

According to reports Mou did try to sign RM trio - Ozil, Khedira & Contrao till the last min, but could not. so when Arse(ne) got Ozil, he blocked Ba.

If you look at the signings, Mou's pics were - Van Ginkel & Eto, but rest may not be his, but Abra's choices. I think Mou didn't wanna fight with Abra this time. Willian at best can compete with Shurlle, otherwise I haven't see anything great about them. Perhaps KDB can play better on the left than either of them

Mata I think will leave in Jan unless something dramatic happens and he adapts like Mou quits Wink

Can't see him ever getting close to justifying his price tag. While he got hyped up in the CL he was never their best player imo. Would have been far better keeping Moses instead.

He has provided that spark since he has been starting that Hazard and Oscar have not been currently providing. Hazard keeps falling down every minute anyways as that's what defenders do when you have a flashy player like Hazard. Willian is a direct and explosive player in comparison who provides a much needed alternative. He is not just a luxury item. Also seems more defensively useful than Hazard (which I'm measuring because that's what Mourinho implements). As for Schurrle...I don't even know what he does on the pitch. The last game he had a few direct chances but for too many games he has been quiet. And KDB has faded since the start of the season. Can't see four other players better than Willian at the moment.

Ideal line up: Hazard-Mata/Oscar-Willian
