don't know why everyone was laughing, doesn't seem like anyone else wants him currently for that price and it's an upgrade.

I know he wants Champs league football, but if Spurs bring him in they'll have it next season.

If he left ,he'd want to move to a team which plays CL every year and not just making CL for one year and failing to make CL the other which is very likely from a club like Spurs.Suarez deserves better than Spurs surely. Maybe even Arsenal :coffee:

And what about wages ? Dont they have a wage cap or something ?

I dont follow spurs so much but just guess that they will not spend such a huge money on one player, instead they will buy someone like Muriel or some other very bright talent

Yeah the figure Di Goatzio has reported sounds much more believable.

Real offered 70m euros + Coentrao but Spurs want Modric or Di Maria in return who both are not interested in joining Spurs so probably the cash offer must be raised which might take it closer to 95-100m.

The agent of Saphir Taider is calling for Bologna to increase his client’s salary after revealing interest from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a possible €18m move to Inter, a fee which his representative feels doesn’t correlate with his present €250,000 annual wage.

“I’ve not heard from Inter,” George Atangana told the Corriere di Bologna. “I have been in touch with other clubs, like Manchester United, though. I told them to directly contact Bologna.

“Saphir is someone who spits blood when he plays. He’s working just as hard right now, but he needs to be treated with respect.

“In football, you should be paid in relation to your performances. You, as well as us, know how much the boy is worth, how he works hard and how important he is to Bologna’s play.

“We see other players at Bologna getting adjustments to their salaries, but nothing for him.

“If Bologna value him at €18m, then how is it possible that they are paying him as if he is worth nothing?

“He deserves more money and I wouldn’t be doing my job correctly if I didn’t ask Bologna to improve his agreement.

“If a club like Manchester United is interested in one of your players then you have to give him what he deserves if you want him to stay.

“Right now, Saphir is not happy.”

The midfielder, an Algerian international, joined the Stadio Dall’Ara outfit in 2011 from French outfit Grenoble.

Ex-Sampdoria sporting director Pasquale Sensibile has reflected on his attempts to net Rafael Benitez last summer.

The Spaniard, formerly of Inter, is now back in Serie A after he was signed by Napoli in July, but he did consider a switch to the city of Genoa a year ago.

“There was a meeting with him in London,” Sensibile told Sky Sport Italia. “It was an incredible experience for me on a personal level. The Spaniard is a great professional.

“We had just won promotion from Serie B with Beppe Iachini in charge, but we wanted to give an international edge to Sampdoria.

“We thought of Benitez because he had a great desire to return to Italy to prove himself. He thought about it for a week.

“We remained in continuous contact, but he wanted Sampdoria to be a competitive force immediately and we couldn’t guarantee that.

“We were not in a position to make the transfer market moves that he was looking for. Benitez was interested, but he asked for very important investment.”

Doria eventually hired Ciro Ferrara when he was tempted to leave the Italian Under-21 set-up, but he was dismissed in December.
