That's why this thread is called transfer rumours ^^Arquitescu wrote:Except none of these are concrete details that would prevent Arsenal from buying Ginter. Loads of examples that can bypass examples such as these.

Yet Arsenal's interest in Ginter isn't a rumour. Its concrete interest

And Freiburg not really wanting to sell anyone anymore (they lost enough players already) is a statement, too ^^ So we have to wait and see if Arsenal can make an offer so immoral that Freiburg loses their resolveArquitescu wrote:Yet Arsenal's interest in Ginter isn't a rumour. They are probably playing hard to get. Ginter would love to play with Mertesacker and Podolski

I think Ginter to Arsenal is only possible if we immediately loan him back to Freiburg for one or two years. He's been pretty clear about playing time at his age... he won't get that at Arsenal so soon.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IX
Schalke have denied reports that Kyriakos Papdopoulos is set to join Liverpool but would discuss any offers for the defender.
General manager Horst Heldt stated that Schalke had yet to receive any offers for the Greek defender who joined the club three years ago aged just 18.
He has gone on to make 57 appearances for the Bundesliga club and has broken into his country's national side, winning 16 caps.
Newspaper reports have claimed that the 21-year-old is Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers' first choice to replace reported Napoli target Martin Skrtel, but Heldt says they are in the dark.
"There is no truth in those rumours," he told Reviersport. "There is no offer put up for the services of Kyriakos Papadopoulos. Not from Liverpool FC or any other club.
"In case we receive a written transfer offer for his services we would sit down and discuss that with him."
The former Olympiakos youngster has been out of action since November with a knee injury - something that is reported to be leading Liverpool to prefer an initial loan deal - but Heldt insisted Papadopoulos' recovery was on track.
He continued: "Papa is making good progress after his knee injuries and we hope to see him back fit soon. He is fully inside our future plans."

Even though I didnt want us to go for Soldado, I still think he's a good striker and will do well for Spurs.
How many year contract did he sign?

If im Man Utd, I would rather buy noone then spend that kind of money on players the level of Soldado.

Considering football clubs work on a year by year basis they won't really be spending that money until 2016.
By that time the income they are getting on a yearly yearly basis will overshadow it to the extent its not even noticeable.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.IX
Even so, in the end its money out the club that could be better served in other areas.
Could of signed some kid who in 5 years may be twice the player Soldado is and cost like 1/3rd of the price.
Heck, they already did that by signing Coulibaly.
I know im sounding Wenger-ish, but I get where the cheap old voyeur is coming from on issues like this.

I am happy valencia stood their ground in forcing them to pay up instead of falling into the trap of being low balledRealGunner wrote:Lol Valencia managed to get 30m for Soldado
contrary to popular belief I think soldado will be great for spurs it would have been better if soldado played for city and negrito for spurs due to their different styles but I wont complain, Castilla legends infesting all teams
in other news Arsenal are supposedly after Modric

Do agree and i wouldn't sign Soldado in Man Yoo's shoes.... but that's why they are Champions and Spurs are pretenders to the top 4.
Even so its good for Spurs to do it this way, Valencia won't see the full fee till 2016 so as of right now its a 12m transfer.
Same as all these other installments transfers, it isn't a 30m transfer till its been paid.

Yohan Modric wrote:Chiriches' transfer to Spurs apparently called off.
Spurs had looked set to clinch a £6.9 million deal for the highly-rated centre-back, but were reportedly unwilling to wait for Steaua to complete the deal after their Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Tbilisi, with the second leg set to take place on August 6.
"Who are Tottenham?! Do not do any transfer, my name is Gigi Becali, I'm not a slave to anybody! We have an important game in the Champions League, why can't they wait?" Stoica relayed to DigiSport.
He mad.
His agent says the deal should still go through and it's 99% done though..
