If they were selling him for us, it would be for more because they know our need. Besides, I don't think Gilardion wants to come back to us.inter1lachen wrote:
Gilardino went for 10 million euro (to Genoa?), less than Matri. He is far better.

I am almost certain I saw Petanga play for Sampdoria against us, unless its a different player with a similar face, and same name.... not sureDante wrote:ok then , who would play all the rescent and up coming games week in week out in his place? You know Ses just got injured again today , don't you? it's still unknown when he will return next , but he will definitely miss Ajax. Most certainly after the international break.
Truth be told , i never really liked Matri , but 10 times him than having to rely on Niang and Robinho for such a long time , because we would have with all the injuries , Balo's suspencion , if not for Matri. Petagna just played some minutes against Milan this season , can't even play for Sampdoria and we would depend on him these days?
i think most people don't even get that we bought Matri as a back up to Balotelli . Pazzini is a different type of forward and when we were changing strikers last season , our game was really different up front , because they did different stuff in and out of the box. Sometimes that was good , sometimes not , but we should always have a say in this , don't you think ? Matri was brought to take some pressure of Balotelli , not sure why that sucks so much. 2.something a season is like 2-3 games income , nothing we can't afford or will backfire .

I would have liked us to get Maxi Lopez instead of Matri, but Matri isn't a bad choice tbh.

Fiorentina concede in stoppage time.Game between them and Parma ends 2-2.
Also,i think they may need a new keeper come January.Neto's a very dodgy keeper and was at fault for conceding the equalizer.

Zuniga officially renews contract with Napoli for another 5 years until 2018 with wages of around 4m per season(lol) and a 35m release clause in his contract.
He is paid higher than Hamsik now and becomes 2nd highest paid player in the team behind Higuain.

btw,in his previous contract he earned just around 600-700K.

This is funny, considering there are like 10 more people who deserve higher wages than Zuniga @ Napoli. Also, he is a thug.

Matri was brought to take some pressure of Balotelli , not sure why that sucks so much. 2.something a season is like 2-3 games income , nothing we can't afford or will backfire .
I know that Matri was an emergency back up, and as such was priced higher than it should be because Juve knew we needed it. As a backup choice, Matri on paper is not bad to have, and I actually liked him before he went to Juve and exposed his mediocrity.
However, was Matri the best striker we could have? I highly doubt it. In one way, we did not think we needed any strikers and hence Pazzini's injury caught us off guard, and in another, we have been mostly meh in the transfer market for a while now.
This squad is currently riddles with injuries, and Matri wouldn't be able to do anything with the brain-dead midfield and Muntari in the middle. Even though, he will still get a ton of flack for being an emergency buy (similar but less hilarious than Inter buying Rocchi last year).
Anyway , i suppose we "could have" gotten a better striker . Not sure which club would sell us a better striker than Matri for 3-4 installments within 2 days left for the market to close though .. seriously though , whom?
Gilardino ? LMFAO , please . Nobody would want this to happen again.
Although i am not certain about this , i think we could only sign one player out of Serie A and that player was meant to be Kaka. I don't see many alternatives , Maxi Lopez again lmao. There's a reason we let these players go and it's because they couldn't meet expectations , not sure why they would the 2nd time around . Especialy Gilardino , if fans gone mad about Matri , i don't even want to imagine what they would do about Gila
We could go for the younger option , but that would be silly , since we had that at the time (Petagna-Niang) and Galliani-Allegri decided it was not enough in the first place , something which i totally agree with. Besides , we got Matri from Juventus ; he scored the most out of their forward line in his time there. They got Tevez and they don't care anymore , but let's see what the season has in store . You can't only expect goals from Tevez and the occasional Vucinic-Llorente goal.
I believe Matri on form could prove to be a fine addition , especialy once we get on going without injuries. On the occasional week game , Allegri should have available Matri , Pazzini , Robinho and dat scrub Niang and Ses-Balo on the field . This is superb depth for Serie A and pretty much we should have the offensive answer to any defensive question set by the defensive variations that exist within Serie A. Few think like that though.
Most people just look at the price and player , then decide he #sucks/#great signing ..there's always more . I am pretty sure if we didn't have Matri on the team today , fans would say why we didn't buy a forward when we knew Pazzini was out injured for such a long time .. Or had we a better start to the season , with or without Matri , majority of fans would not even care about dat forward signing right now

Completely forgot Maxi Lolpez played for us at some point
Matri, as a stopgap signing, was always going to be criticized.

Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed Napoli will remain at the Stadio San Paolo and revamp it together with the local council.
A few days ago the President had threatened to walk away from the iconic venue and build a new stadium in nearby Caserta.
“I can announce that the San Paolo will remain Napoli’s home,” declared De Laurentiis after today’s meeting with Major De Magistris.
“We reached an agreement, there will be a bilateral commission set up by the Naples Council and Napoli football club, but we have already found the solution which will be innovative.
“Napoli will have the rights to ownership of the stadium and the adjacent zones, so to do everything we need to make it to the maximum level of European standards. The Caserta option has been abandoned.
“We got into details, establishing a deal on the fact this stadium will be in Naples with guaranteed returns of investment.”

Atleast they are doing something. Milan ja Inter need to start working on new stadiums or renovate San Siro if its possible. Which would be an awesome idea - both clubs can save money if they work together on this project.

Re: Italian Serie A/Serie B 2013-14 Discussion
There's been some talk over the years , but nothing is happening . I think Milan just waits for Inter to leave and Inter waits for Milan to leave , something like that
I think Inter were far more serious about leaving the San Siro / Meazza , although it's been a long time since i checked for any progress they may have made so far. With Thohir , perhaps they intend to really do something this time , because if we expect anything from Milan , well , Berlusconi and Galliani ain't gonna bother whilst Inter is also sharing the stadium
In any case , it would be for the best for both Milan and Inter to have their own stadium , to own it. Whoever leaves this stadium , will leave for their benefit first of all and the other will buy the San Siro eventually. But the chances of this being AC Milan that leaves San Siro , imo , are close to zero.
Unless they have secret plans and hidden millions under the carpet , then no The days where fans expected stuff from Berlusconi are well over and it's no different with the stadium . I am sure most Milan fans want to stay in San Siro and i suppose , Inter fans too. It's kinda weird , but i get the feeling that a renovation , although prefferable than nothing , isn't the solution for Milan and Inter.
Milan and Inter either merge into one club and buy the San Siro and become a powerhouse in European football
or one of them begins to build a new one and leave the other paying 4m a season to the Milanese council. What's been happening so far for both Milan and Inter is outdated since years now. It cannot continue for much long and a solution really has to be found.
