SERIE A 2013-14: WEEK 1

The Serie A 2013-14 calendar has been drawn up with Week 1 including Inter-Genoa, Lazio-Udinese and Sampdoria-Juventus.

The tournament begins on August 24-25 and concludes on May 18 2014.

A fixture list was drawn up by computer in a ceremony in Milan this evening, less than a month before the competition kicks off.

There are five local derbies this time round in Milan, Rome, Turin, Genoa and Verona. Derbies were not allowed in midweek rounds due to security concerns.

was no seeding in the draw, though Champions League and Europa League teams were kept apart ahead of continental matches in Week 6, 9, 13 and 16.

I swear in both matches they looked dangerous every time they played it out from the back and started sprinting at us 3v3.
