Lorenzo Insigne reckons losing Edinson Cavani and gaining Gonzalo Higuain has turned Napoli into a more complete team.

The Partenopei have posted an 100 per cent Serie A record after the first four games of the campaign, and Insigne believes the arrival of Higuain has given Rafa Benitez's side another dimension.

"Cavani always wants to score goals but Higuain is different," Insigne told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Higuain plays more for the team, he's a great champion and comes from a great club.

"His goals will make us even better, and he has a great understanding with everyone, just like Marek Hamsik and Jose Callejon."

Insigne indeed seemed to be radiating the sort of positivity which has infected the San Paolo stadium since the beginning of the season.

A well deserved 2-1 win against Milan at the San Siro on Sunday extended Napoli's successful start and that result came on the back of an impressive 2-1 defeat of Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League the previous Wednesday.

"So far everything is beautiful," the 22-year-old Italy international continued.

"But we must remain humble and follow the Benitez way. I like the style; we play with the ball on the floor and this gives me confidence.

"Benitez has given us a winning mentality and with pleasure I sacrifice myself to contribute defensively."

Insigne may be working hard on the defensive side of his game, but even he could not envisage part of that remit would be helping to save penalties.

Definitely agree with Insigne there. But the key wasn't replacing Cavani with Higuain on it's own. It was that they re-invested in key areas throughout the field and the coach. CB is their only real issue now.

They'll probably get Skrtel next summer if not in January.

Imagine if they get both Mata and Skrtel Proud

That's not true man. Here is the link of the official FIGC website http://www.figc.it/it/204/37241/2013/08/News.shtml

It says
ogni atto volontario, deliberato, da parte del difendente nel tentativo di prendere il pallone, rimette, fatto salvo un elenco definito di eccezioni, in gioco l’attaccante, a prescindere da come si concluda la giocata stessa“
which means that every time the defender tries to get the ball and touches it, it makes onside the attacker who eventually gets the ball (except when it's a save from the goalkeeper). Conte himself said that Paloschi's goal was legit.

I thought it was legit, and had it went in i'd have no complaints about the reff.

However, we had a 100% Penalty denied anyway. So it did even itsself out. But relying on more mistakes to cover up other mistakes is wrong, and human error plays way too big of a part in Football.

Napoli the next 'crisis' club in europe?

Next 2 games away to Genoa & Arsenal, very likely neither will be wins.

They'll beat Genoa, lose to Arsenal. Also Tagliavento fcked us again. Denied clear penalty then immediately Laxalt scores on the counter

Genoa haven't been good in ages man. They are relegation fodder. Napoli are more than a match for Arsenal too. Remember, this is the team that beat last year's CL runners-up.

one game doesn't change a thing, and in Napoli - Dortmund game everything went good for Napoli, I mean 2 red cards, 4 missed sitters from Reus, one crossbar. Not saying Napoli didn't deserve the win but Dortmund didn't had any luck to

But, you have to take into account that last year's CL runners-up, was without their best player Mario Gotze, he left them. There starting RB Piszeck was out and Grokrutz a wide midfielder filled in for him and there most important player Ilkay Gundogan was injured. And after all of that their coach got a red card during the 1st half. And they were 10 men in the 2nd half. Sure 2-1 wasn't a fair score should have been a much higher score for Napoli tbh Laughing but, this wasn't the same Dortmund in last year's CL.

If I was too rate Napoli I certainly wouldn't use the game against Dortmund as a major example, IMO. But, in general they have been terrific and have been great to watch. I've noticed that they start off the game by overloading the opposition with attacks and once they get there goal, they sit back and counter.

"4 missed sitters from Reus" - you mean 1 solid missed chance when Aubameyang teed him up and 3 missed free-kicks. You can't discredit Napoli because Klopp lost it either. Weidenfeller probably prevented a goal with the red card too. Napoli could've won by much more in truth and the 2-1 score was a bit generous to Dortmund who weren't threatening for most of the match.

Not only that, but Napoli are undefeated. Drawing against Sassuolo was bad for them, but other than that they have looked very good.

Pls RG send Arsenal's doctors to Milan. Anything is better than whoever we've got now. We can't even beat Bologna.

Napoli rested 3 or 4 starters last game and that's why they didnt get the result. Had they fielded a full strength team they would have taken the game, but it was a smart choice by Benitez with the coming schedule. I expecting Napoli to school Arsenal.

???? Genoa might give them problems like Sassuolo did because they will go into a defensive shell, but Arsenal's open game plays right into Napoli's hands. Easy win for Napoli against Arsenal.

Napoli, crisis? Wat?

1 draw does not mean a crisis. And away to Genoa isn't the most difficult fixture i've ever seen tbh Laughing

I said from the beginning that Napoli would qualify from the CL group. Not sure why their rotated team drawing with Sassuolo means that Arsenal are going to destroy them and put them in crisis mode.
