Italian Serie A/Serie B 2013-14 Discussion

I'll be very surprised if the top 3 are not the same as last year.

I have a feeling that Napoli will struggle to finish in top 3.

I like Mazzarri and I believe he will do a great job at Inter; also, let's remember how good did Milan play in the second half of the last season after Balotelli's return to Milano. Fiorentina and Lazio are also two strong teams with much potential.

I said it before, I'll say it now...I dislike Rafa Benitez and in my opinion he will be the reason why Napoli will have a hard time to compete for the UCL places.

I don't even want to speak about AS Roma. I had big expectations from them and they disappointed me...

Juventus will comfortably win the Serie A if they keep playing like yesterday.

Napoli has a beast team. They will definitely finish top 3.

On paper, they look worse than last season. Higuain can't overshadow Cavani's departure.

I personally don't trust Rafa Benitez and the players he brought to the club: Albiol, Callejon, Higuain and Reina.

Not really, it would have been nice to have some preparation. PSV got their league started and we have prepared for this match against a Serie D side.

Damn I think it's time Italy gets the 4th CL spot back. Everyone in the Top 7 could secure a CL spot it's really amazing how much competition there is this year.

Actually, Allegri stated that PSV has a physical advantage because they have played 3 league games or something compared to our 0. I dont get why Serie A starts so *bleep* late either!

We rely so much on Napoli this season, which will flop in the CL most likely. Too many new players, it never works.

I just hope Viola and Udinese tries their best with a full squad unlike Napoli last season, what a disgrace

I think Higgy isn't as good as Cavani, but importantly they have spend $ on fixing the rest of their team too. Also, Insigne is going to be huge for them.

Selling Lamela will mean that Roma is out of running for the 3rd spot. Stupid americans..

They havent even come out with the new stadium plans yet, they need to give the fans something.

I predict Lazio will kerb-stomp Udinese in arguably the biggest game on the opening match-day. Thoughts?

But this season, I can't even see them doing that. So I do think Roma will finish above them.

Lazio shouldn't be underestimated just because Juve mercilessly crushed them. They are still a decent team against lesser opposition.

I, for one, think that Napoli under Benitez will be rather good to watch. Offensively at least.

I think there will be some growing pains, switching from a 3-man to 4-man backline will do that to a club.
