Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Anyway, hasn't Higgy come out and said he'd give us 48 hours to match Madrid's price? Don't think anything is done yet

Mate, he was benched 95% of the time after a fall-out with the club yet lit-up the pitch every time he featured, which was rare.
Judging Llorente from last season would be as apt as judging if Ramsey played with a broken leg.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Do you think spending 2/3 of Cavani
money on a single player is a good
idea!!! Higuaine is a great player, but
he may not adapt to Italian style or
what if he gets injured!
Also, it's not like Napoli has a great
team and only need a great striker. If
they spend the Cavani money on 3-4
players, the squad will be more
competitive.
While it's true that a €15-20 million
striker MAY not score as many goal
Higuaine MIGHT score and MAY
generate less revenue in terms of
ticket & kits sales, 3-4 quality signings
will actually make the squad more
competitive and lucrative.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Napoli can recoup at least 70% of his price even if he flops. From an investment stand point the deal is good although Napoli overpaid a little bit.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Kind of sad because it seems like Higuain wanted to play for us. After all he gave to Madrid you'd think they would have just let us hammer out a deal instead of raising it over and over every time we made any progress. 37m is almost double what the price started at just over a month ago...

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
who are you going to buy that is a top class striker like higuain for less than that? you wont find anyone, I can guarantee you that. people who say this price is unreasonable dont seem to understand that this is what top players cost these days, his contract wasnt running out and he is just getting into his prime. Madrid had no problems keeping him either if Ancelotti's words are to be believed.DeviAngel wrote:I don't rate him as I said he ain't worth that much esp 37 mil lol
buying higuain to replace cavani will be a great move for Napoli, getting rid of their best/most important player and not replacing him with a player of similar caliber as others suggest would not be a good idea if they are serious about challenging the top spots.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
Really depends on the service he gets. Higuain is not the type of CF that can create his own opportunities... he finishes chances in the box. I hope to god Rafa knows what he's doing for Higuain's sake.
Better fit for Arsenal due to the players around him. But Arsenal are too cheap to sign this caliber of player.

Re: Higuain to Napoli is Done
I'll be following Napoli next season with Rafa in charge.
Hope Higuain deal goes through. He's one Madrid player I've always liked.
I dont think the deal is really over priced. Seems fair enough to me for this market.

Di Marzio wrote:All about Gonzalo Higuain. The Naples goes on his way, one that leads the Argentine striker. The agreement with Real Madrid is already closed, you are defining the contractual aspects and image rights with the player. But the deal goes ahead and shipped with great optimism. Until the signatures can not be said that it is made, but the confidence grows ...
Lol this is actually happening.
Whatever it is ,its gonna be a really exciting Serie A season.
