Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
We have long lost that hunger and super intense intensity of wanting to win, which United players would normally show in skills, tenacity, speed, aggression, and unity on the pitch week in week out.
The current United is pale in comparison to previous champions.

........................ ............
we are a joke
i couldnt watch the match as the only channel telecasting premier league decided to show city match instead. was devastated hence. but now i think they got it right and i have to send those guys a thanks note for sparing me from this shocker.
moyes is simply clueless. from player assessment to tactics he has nt done anything right until now with a small exception being that champions league game.
3 losses in 6 games..... is this united or some other team

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
great analysis by Gary Neville regarding our players' attitude as soon as we equalized.
Lazy pressing, no hunger, lethargic....players were on auto-pilot thinking their mere presence would get them the winner. No way they would have had that type of mentality under SAF.
I'm beginning to think some of the players are beginning to lose that spark and hunger for success under Moyes. their body language, from pre season, all the way up until now has had 'I can't be arsed' written all over it.
Ironically, the player that wanted to leave the club is the one who is showing the most commitment and passion atm- Wayne Rooney.

players who were scrubs under SAF will just become worse now under Moyes, Anderson, Young.....seriously Anderson is happy to be fat collect his money and continue to ride the bench considering he was that way under SAF now he's gone he will just become even worse, these guys need to go be sold for w/e we can get.

Yeah, we need to have a clear out next summer, Anderson, Young, Buttner and co. need to start packing their bags. It's like failing one to three seasons is not enough to see they are shit, it's like we let them stay four or five seasons just to be sure.

We should have got rid of Anderson in the summer last year. how many chances has he had to improve?. I know he's had injury problems which have derailed his progression, but you get the impression whenever he plays that he will never improve. This is the level he is stuck in.
Let's get a decent sized bid from a Brazilian club and send him on his way.

There should be absolutely no excuses, zero, zilch, nada...for not getting 3 points tomorrow v Sunderland. They are horrendous atm. If we struggle against them, then we might as well just pack it in for this season....

De Gea, Rafael, Evra, Vidic, Jones, Carrick, Cleverley, Januzaj, Nani, Rooney, van Persie
If Januzaj doesn't sign a new contract, then I don't even...
EDIT: Bench: Lindegaard, Smalling, Valencia, Giggs, Kagawa, Welbeck, Hernandez.

Huge relief. Moyes deserves praise for sticking with him in the 2nd half. He didnt panic and thats a good sign.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Manchester United manager David Moyes: "I thought we played well with the exception of the opening five or 10 minutes. I am pleased we have won, I am not going to get too excited. At the moment we scored, we needed it but I wasn't getting too low. I thought it was exciting and I enjoyed it today."
On Adnan Januzaj: "He is a wonderful player, he is someone who we think a lot of. I have tried to get him in the team over the last few weeks but for various reasons it did not happen.
"He is a really good player, he can do most things and play in lots of different positions. He is a real talent. I gave Wayne Rooney and Ross Barkley their debuts at Everton and he is certainly in their category too."

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
he was brilliant today, I will say if he has one weakness to his game right now it's he wants to take on players all the time and doesn't release the ball and certain points when he should....much like Ronaldo when he first came to united and how Zaha is currently too
but great two goals today, save our ass, team looked lifeless until he scored

Why is zaha not getting minutes. Could have brought him instead of valencia in the match in the 2nd half.

Not the ideal game to be bringing on zaha to be fair, Valencia is tried and tested and we needed the win, there will be plenty of games to experiment and get him up to speed

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
I think we'll probably see him play Norwich, in the league cup. At the end of the season, we'll be able to see if it was a mistake not letting him go back on loan to Crystal Palace again. Although, it's still quite early days, he could still become an important part of the squad. We do have a coach who knows when to bring in young talent to the first team, so Zaha is going to have to be a little patient for now, until he is deemed ready.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Dropped points yet again.
Saints deserve a point though to be honest. But we should have really killed the game on 1 or 2 occasions. 2 shots bouncing off the woodwork, we were a tad unlucky may be we can sum up.
Having said that there were once again bad decisions by Moyes
like
-why on earth he subbed Nani probably the best player on pitch, a player who could have made things happen, and brought in alarmingly slow Giggsy. disastrous it was to see that move.
-Rooney should have taken off much early and brought instead of Smalling, Kagawa (come on, he is not an eternal bench warmer, not in a game certainly when rooney is continuously mispassing and loosing the ball in the middle)
-He should have asked the players to show little more authority, instead we allowed them to keep coming at us. It was as if we were a man short or something we continuously going defensive in the 2nd period.
-Fellaini once again was disappointment. He should have subbed much earlier.
Januzaj impressed yet again and his vision was spot on to create the goal.
All in all, on a night when the rivals all stompred to big wins barring Liverpool, we should have registered a much better performance.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Moyes's reaction > 'We had chances to make it two - we hit the bar, but I said to the players at half-time ‘this won’t be enough, we have to do more’
Note the last part of the comment and still did his actions justified what he said? Certainly not. If that is what he was trying to do, then why the rats ass he subbed nani and brought in out of all people giggs, who simply cannot be better than nani in the final third of the pitch given his age and form.
Then came the biggie, subbing a defender for an attacker and totally messing up the formation, that eventually led to the lack of communication among the back 4 and led to their goal.
He is doing one thing and saying something else to defend his atrocious decisions.
Its certainly a match where he should take the blame for throwing away 2 points.
Rooney was shite and we had Kagawa, a direct substitute who should have brought in at least at the strock of 70 mins.
They were playing very high lines and were trapping us offsides continuously and we had Chicha who breaks offsides better than anyone else in the entire squad.
What is he turning this title winning team into ffs. He is ruining us by every match.
