Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
you knew it was coming ffs, can't take off precious cross merchant lol Valencia the untouchable for Moyes
it's funny to because Januzaj and Mata both better crossers of the ball then Valencia

It's not like a draw does anything at this stage anyway it's a win or nothing.

Young just hoofed the ball when he had so much time. Rooney did it earlier as well. Moyes is getting to them

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
utter wank. You see that..did you all just witness the last few seconds of the match? we had posession but insteading of a last ditch attempt of a forward pass, our players hit it back to setlle for a draw. Load of bs.
This performance was like a bottom club going to the big club to settle for a 0-0. This was n't v bayern or barca, this was an Arsenal team there for the taking, all we had to do was show some courage and we would have won it.
negative bs...no wonder Moyes has never won away. Coward tactics made to negate the htreat of the opposition rather than play to our strengths.
Shit shit match.

Yep, looked like we went for a draw. Even when circumstances force us to be positive, we weren't.
Mata was the best out of the 4 today and was the one that was taken off. I don't think Mata had a great game by his standards, but he deserved to be on the pitch. RVP doesn't really look in it and Rooney wasn't great either

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
He is so scared of subbing either Rooney or RVP when they are clearly having a bad game. OK if they are important, then why not sub Valencia who was doing jack shet the entire game off and for Januzaj. It was like for like subs that didn't alter anything. Instead of Mata who was having a good game imo.
Arsenal were there for the taking but Moyes shet his pants as always when it comes to playing the big boys away. Just happy with a point. I honestly think had we had a positive approach, we would have won today. Arsenal were so bad and didn't threaten at all. Our defence coped with everythong they threw at us with ease.
All we had to do was alternate our attack, and we would have cut them open.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Yep, at least there's a moment of brilliance in Rooney and RVP. Valencia though...
Arsenal always seem to start slowly as of late and really only got into the game in the second half. I think we should have played like we did at Old Trafford attack and then sit back after the goal. I wasn't happy that we defended for the whole second half at OT, but at least we attacked at the start.
Oh well we kept a clean sheet, a positive I guess.

You could have won if you played for the win. When United pass back on the 92nd minute, I was shaking my head. Shameful.

I know some of you don't what Europa League, but we'll probably end finishing in the top 7 and finishing 6th means we'll have less qualifiers to play.

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Dire game .. A performance full of heart but devoid of inspiration and adventure. Largely negative football but an improvement on recent performances. And towards the end of the game? Pathetic. Gutless. Pass the ball back ... never seen such negativity from a United side .. Moyes seemed happy after the game , Keeps him in a job and more or less ends our chances of 4th spot. Main positive part of the evening we actually played a half decent pressing game for long parts of the game. Also had some nice chance but Arsenal as well so I suppose the game could have gone either way.

Rooney barely set foot in the box today. What type of way is Moyes trying to get us to play? I would have rather lost today, seeing us trying to go for the win, because more often than not that positivity will get us points.

If the Fa Cup winners and Runners up and League cup winners are in a CL spot. It's given to teams in the league. So, if the FA Cup final is Arsenal vs Chelsea and Man City wins the league cup, since their all in the CL it will be given to the premier league teams that finish 5th, 6th and 7th. Unless, the 7th spot goes to team that wins the fair play award. I think that's how it works anyway, I've never really paid attention to it.

Ah right. But that means Sunderland have one spot already? Or doesn't t count for the league cup runner up?

Re: Manchester United 2013/2014 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
If Sunderland don't win the league cup they won't get a Europa League Spot. If they were in the FA Cup final against Man City yes they would.
I found this, I think it explains it better

I found this, I think it explains it better
There are three places in the UEFA Europa League available: the FA Cup winners will enter at the Group Stage; the fifth place team in the Barclays Premier League will enter at the Play-Off stage; and the Football League Cup winners will enter at the Q3 stage.
In the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the UEFA Champions League the FA Cup runners-up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking Barclays Premier League representative. The place with direct access to the Group Stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the Barclays Premier League of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
English winners of the UEFA Europa League will enter at the Group Stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League. If the holders of the UEFA Europa League have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained.
Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.
Fair Play winners enter at the Qualifying round 1 stage.
This place will automatically go the three best-placed national associations in the UEFA Respect fair play rankings provided they achieve an average of 8.0 points or more. The top three associations will then be entitled to enter the club that has either won their domestic top-division fair play competition, or if they are already qualified, the runners-up and so forth.

alright, thanks. Poor Sunderland, the league cup spot will probably go to Utd in 7th, and they had won their tie against you...
