Adebayor
The former Togo international, who only joined the club from Arsenal for £25million ($37million) two years ago, was frozen out at Eastlands last season and ended the campaign on loan at Real Madrid.
But after expecting to link up with manager Roberto Mancini and the rest of his squad for pre-season, the 27-year-old now claims he has been omitted from the club`s tour of America, but was only told by football director Brian Marwood`s secretary.
He said in the Sun: "This is very hurtful and insulting and says a lot about Manchester City.
"On the one hand they want to become the biggest, most successful club in the world, yet the people who run the club are not acting in that way at all.
"No one at City is man enough to speak to me face-to-face to explain.
"I just received an email from Brian Marwood's secretary, a lady at the club called Claire, telling me to report for training on July 9.
"But when I spoke to the other players, I found out the first team was leaving for the pre-season tour of the USA on July 8.
"So it's clear they don't want me here but no one even called. Brian Marwood just got his secretary to send me an email.
"And I heard this was the same with at least six other players."
Adebayor has been linked with a move to Tottenham, as well as a permanent return to Madrid.

Honestly, his ego has brought this upon him. Arsenal is a fantastic club at getting the best out of players, and he hasn't been good since he left us.

Re: Adebayor
He was I admit a really good player, but he deserves what he gets. I was out of the country at the time and didn't hear how the transfer developed and still don't so maybe I have more sympathy than others. If he wasn't such a massive twit, apologised for the stamp and celebration, and accepted a massive wage cut, maybe just maybe I'd think of taking that idiot back after failing to secure all our other transfer targets.

Re: Adebayor
he was never a good player, even when he scored 30 goals he was never that convincing for me, missed too many easy chances that could have won us the title.

Re: Adebayor
I have to disagree with you guys, when Ade use to come in, the game would change right away, he was good a player at Arsenal.
Only way up for him is to Kiss the ground that made him. I know he misses Arsenal and would love to come back. If we can get him for half price I would take him nothing over 10 mill .

Re: Adebayor
You would think with the likely departure of Tevez that Adebayor would be given another chance. Well, that's Man City for you.

Re: Adebayor
Madrid left Leon and Drenthe at home... one is an idiot (Drenthe; he went on a one man strike last year lol) and Leon is giving it back to Madrid (respect him for that actually; he was treated poorly last year).
