Hummels: There are no sporting reasons for Gotze to leave for Bayern
"I do not understand Gotze's decision and I have told him just that. Everybody at Dortmund was surprised. This only further shows that this was never an issue," Hummels told Sport Bild.
"Everybody can see how good our team has become. I simply do not believe that there were any sporting reasons to leave BVB.
"It was clear to see that the team had really made steps forward and Mario got along with all of us very well. That's why it annoyed me so much that he felt it was necessary to leave at such an early stage of his career."

Judas c**t. Still can't believe he betrayed Klopp and that incredible fanbase.
Pathetic tbh. At least move to Barca/Madrid if you're so eager to leave,
Oh and Hummels is shit.

Hummels taking the moral high ground 'cause no one seems to be giving a *bleep* about him.

If he came on the market there would be a line of clubs which stretches around the corner to the parking lot.
Getting a bit ridiculous fans of clubs laughing at Hummels when he would walk into all your teams.

Rich coming from the person who supports the club who constantly played Man City rejects in the backline last season and not to mention Bayern have been desperately trying to sign him back ever since he left.
As i said its very silly, you don't get to the CL final and win the Bundesliga title twice if your CB is crap.
Anyway if this is where this thread is going i'm out.

Btw OT, Hummels is absolutely right. Gotze had no sporting reason whatsoever to move to Bayern.

Why are Dortmund being treated like a small club by big teams? They want all their top players. The Dortmund players seem pretty content leaving too.

Same guy that got exposed against Balotelli/Cassano at the Euros and cost Dortmund the CL.
He's a product of Klopp's system and is renowned more for his distribution than his actual defending. Luiz who is an even better footballer is hated for this very reason while this scrub who makes even more individual errors than Luiz did in his first couple of years at Chelsea is a fan favourite on here.
Dat logic.

"Big" teams have more money. BVB won't compete financially for another 5 years probably but with Klopp (if he stays) it might be even sooner.

Would Hummels get into a 2 man Juventus CB pairing consisting of Barzagli and Chiellini?

Re: Hummels: There are no sporting reasons for Gotze to leave for Bayern
If you think about it it's one of the worst transfers of all time. I haven't seen anything like it. Think about it. Götze is playing first division football for 3 seasons now. In that time frame his team has won 2 championships (over Bayern), 1 domestic cup (over Bayern) and they made it to the CL finals which was overall a tight affair against Bayern in the form of their lives. He's a Dortmund youth product since the age of 9. His club has shown ambition. They've spent big bucks (for their and Bundesliga standards) on Reus and they are further looking to strengthen. They've got an amazing stadium and fans. So what does he do? Leaves to Bayern in the middle of the season through a buyout clause.

Boateng put in the best performance of his life in the CL final, Hummels let Robben glide through their defence and win Bayern the damn thing.

Not saying Hummels is a bad defender or anything, but there seems to be a lack of quality defenses nowadays.
