I don't completely buy into this talk that Higuain isn't a fit for our system. While Jovetic is an ideal due to the skills he has, I imagine Higuain playing in a similar way to van Persie during his last season with us.

It sounds like a strange comparison, but think about it. Although van Persie was pretty much the complete striker, he primarily played as a 9 for us in his final season. Quite often he'd take himself out of games and stay up front and central, and there were plenty of games where we said "other than his goal, he didn't contribute that much". Then you consider that the majority of van Persie's goals came from his movement creating excellent tap-in and one-on-one opportunities.

So would Higuain be anything different? Sure, van Persie's skill were much broader than a usual number 9, but contrary to what seems to be popular belief, Higuain is no donkey up front.

Well said. Arsenal needs somebody who can finish. Somebody who can get the ball in the box and put it in the net. Higuain fits that bill perfectly. Arsenal has plenty of other players to do the fancy stuff.

nothing compared to the helb, rosicky, cesc combo of 07/08. we need to get back to that style of play somehow

Seems to be consistent despite being played as second fiddle to Benzema and often playing as a super sub for Madrid.That being said it's imperative that we sign someone who can share the creative load with Cazorla cos Cazorla on his own will find it difficult to create chances match after match as seen this season.Further with Theo often cutting inside and playing as a forward will further result in lack of service for El Pipita.

Either we sign JoJo or at least Grenier otherwise Higgy might not be a success as we expect him to be.

P.S.As for the love,If our fans can love Judas who except for his last 2 years at Arsenal,made more apperances to the Doc rather than the first team,I'm sure Higgy will find himself really loved at Arsenal.

Arsenal will reportedly offer Gervinho as bait to land Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier.
