Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
Juventus are closer than ever to Carlos Tevez, especially amid reports Arsenal have agreed a deal with Gonzalo Higuain.
The Bianconeri had made it clear they had two primary transfer targets to join Fernando Llorente in attack next season.
The first was Real Madrid hitman Higuain, who confirmed he is set to leave the Bernabeu after seven years.
However, a report in the Daily Mirror today claims Arsene Wenger already met with his father – who acts as his agent – in Paris to agree personal terms.
“Arsenal? They would suit me. I’m still young and I have goals [still in me],” he is quoted as saying.
His father Jorge was also interviewed by the Daily Mirror. “Madrid will want to sell. Juventus or Arsenal? I guess he has spoken with them.
“The clubs first have to talk to Madrid in direct negotiation. Gonzalo currently has three years left on his contract,” revealed Jorge.
The 25-year-old would be available for €22m, which is likely to be above Juve’s preferred price-range, with current wages worth £130,000 per week.
It pushes the Turin giants closer to Tevez, as some bookmakers have gone so far as to stop taking bets on the Manchester City forward joining Juve.
Higuain was sent off last night against Colombia after a brawl with Napoli's Juan Camilo Zuniga.

Like I said if we end up only getting Carlos Tev then we've showed a distinct lack of ambition.

JUVENTUS is not going to close the market with only TEVEZ and LORENTE,
I guarantee there will be some change on midfield as one of MARCHISIO, ASAMOAH, LINCHTAINER may be dropped as well..

He means sold.
I still can't see us selling a future club icon.

We are not selling Marchisio. Marotta said we are not selling club we don't want to sell him, BUT IF MARCHSIO wants to leave than we won't hold him back

Mr Nick,
MAN UNITED and MONACO both want him because he is a good player, not because he is a bad player,
I am not telling here that we have players who deserve to curse them, and criticize them, but if we aim to improve someone should be sacrificed,
DIEGO was our best player as well, but he was sacrificed, to create a winning team,

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
Diego was possibly our best player that season. At least one of our best along with Marchisio, Camoranesi, Chiellini, and Del Piero. He was also excellent at Atletico, in fact their 2nd best player after Falcao in their Europa League-winning campaign. He also was decent at Wolfsburg, the problem was more that after Dzeko left in the winter he was really the only good player in the squad. Josue was finished, Kjaer was a flop, Helmets was constantly injured and couldn't get on form, and Mandzukic was still a nobody. Diegos a very very good player who gets a bad rap because he joined us at the worst possible time.

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
I think Juve are trying to sell Lichsteiner, but aren't getting the valuation they had hoped. So it has left them in a bit of a dilemna: Should they keep Lich or sell him cheaper? If they sell cheaper, they would need to add funds to get to the purchase price of a top forward... do they want to do that?
Tevez/Llorente is better than what Juve had this year by a lot. But is it enough to truly compete for a CL title? I don't think so. The attacking prowess of the semifinalists of this year's CL shows that imo.

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
Tevez, Llorente, Vucinic, Giovinco, and Quagliarella in my opinion is strong enough for the CL. We got the semis and did better against the eventual CL winners than Barcelona did with us playing Quagliarella and Matri up front together in the first leg.
I don't think we should sell either Lichsteiner or Marchisio. Marchisio is a future Juventus legend and captain. Lichsteiner is a world class rightback, probably the best in the world right now only after Lahm. He also personifies the gritty Juventus mentality. Both are key players for us and we shouldn't be selling our key players no matter what. You don't see Bayern trying to sell Schweinsteiger and Lahm do you?

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
In the end of the transfer campaign, Higuain will go to Arsenal, Jovetic to Chelsea or City, Tevez to Monaco, Suarez to Real and Cavani to Chelsea. Hell even Napoli are going to sign Dzeko and Fiorentina Gomez and we will end up with bringing back Borriello
Thank God we at least have Llorente and Vucinic.
And why sell integral players such as Marchisio or Lichsteiner instead of getting rid of players that are simply not good enough or past it ? Motta, Ziegler, Melo, Martinez, Matri, Quagliarella, Padoin, De Ceglie, Pepe...
I know the profit wont be as much but we will at least get rid of their contracts, salaries and bad memories. . .

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
the better question is "when is he on form"? most top players on form are elite, but when that form occurs once a month they are not that useful

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
Agreed with Nick
Any respectable player on top form is a game changer.
But that's not really important.
Say we didn't have Giovinco, when he is on top form he is untouchable, ultimate technique, can't be stopped without fouling him, can score wonder goals.
However, we all know relying on 'top form' from a player is not good enough to compete at the very top level.
You need consistency which is infinitely more important.

Re: Higuain-Arsenal, Tevez-Juve?
usually when tevez is "on form" his "form" lasts at leasts a whole season. if you get him fit and ready for the season he will score you 20+ goals, thats pretty good. add llorente and vuc to that and you have a formidable front line.
