Re: The TV Series Thread
Aah maybe the name threw me. Well if that's the case then they have had some quality TV programmes, movies are still unwatchable though. And UK syfy is bad.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Yea, as I said the Syfy movies are generally somewhere between terrible and funny (by how bad they are)... but the shows tend to range from solid to great. It's worth making the distinction.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Yeah fair enough. Props to scifi for the t.v shows. Yeah I've had a horrible experience with syfy, I would read up on some movie and put it in reminder, every time after 10 minutes I couldn't bring myself to suffer through it
stargate sg1 and atlantis though

Re: The TV Series Thread
To be fair, if you can find some fun friends, some decent beer, and a night to kill Syfy movies can be entertaining in an MST3K sort of fashion... which is rather ironic.

Re: The TV Series Thread
I do enjoy having a laugh at some terrible movies. Infact I've done what you said before with some film where Martians attempt to kidnap santa
Can't remember the names of the syfy movies, but if I flick through 24 hours of the schedule i'll find some awful ones for everybody on GL to laugh at.

I don't always drink decent beer... but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.

Re: The TV Series Thread
Watched the entire season of Netflix's new series Hemlock Grove.
I personally think it was decidedly average. A cross between True Blood and Dexter if I ever saw one. And I'm no fan of True Blood.
First 4 episodes were hard to watch, but the last 4 was rather good. Middle episodes were simply average.
That said, Tiio Horn and Penelope Mitchell are both ridiculously hot so they were well worth watching.

Great show for about 3 seasons, but then it falls off dramatically. I couldn't believe how bad they butchered it. I heard it ran into 8 seasons, so who knows it might have improved.

Re: The TV Series Thread
I decided to start watching some tv series, coz there aren't any good movies coming out atm...
And the first ones on my list are Arrow and The Walking Dead. I'm already thru a few episodes on both of them. So far they are fantastic!

Weeds was quite goat up until at least the 5th season. Then it was just good after that. A great show all around though.
"Little boxes" is one of my favorite theme songs now. So lackadaisical and bubbly...and I love all the covers as well.

Yeah it does have potential. The start has been rather average though. It will get better though I believe.
