Only €30m cash for Jovetic

Last night Fiorentina met with Stevan Jovetic’s agent and reportedly warned they’ll only accept a €30m cash offer.

The Viola sat down with Fali Ramadani to discuss the numerous proposals coming in for the player from Juventus to Arsenal, Manchester United, PSG and Chelsea.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the crux of the meeting was a warning from the Fiorentina directors that only cash will be acceptable.

This is a response to Juventus, who reportedly offered €12m plus Luca Marrone or Fabio Quagliarella.

Clubs will therefore have to stump up the full €30m asking price without including players in the deal.

It could well put Jovetic beyond Juve’s budget right now, but an intriguing other option emerged in Il Sole 24 Ore.

The newspaper claims Inter would make a bid for the Montenegrin if Indonesian investor Erick Thohir buys up the club.

If Massimo Moratti sells to Thohir, it’s believed €100m would immediately be poured into the transfer market.

Not rattled at all, if Inter or any other club puts the money up then so be it.

Elkann has been cutting cheques for years. He has already given the green light to get Jojo. He said it himself. If Marotta can't get a deal done then it is his fault. 100%. No excuses. The money is there. It has always been there. Juve have spent over $200 million in transfer fees over the last 4-5 years. Whoever says the money isn't there and Marotta's hands are tied are wrong. Conte wants Jojo, Elkann wants Jojo. Agnelli wants Jojo.

Marotta better get it done or else

Don't see why this is so outrageous. Jojo is what, 23, scores a goal every other game, and has shown that he can get it done on the big stage. His potential for growth is huge. In a market where you got the likes of crouch and coentrao going for 30 mill i'm pleasantly surprised viola are willing to deal at this sum at all. With their most hated rival no less. Maybe we can't pay the full amount, but if marotta keeps insulting della valle with deals like 14 mil plus half of some scrub for their crown jewel, i'm not surprised he gets told to *bleep* off. Frankly it's embarassing for a club of our stature(especially when we're willing to spend that amount on several mediocrities).

everyone called me crazy when i said if Marotta doesn't deliver in this mercato he should get the sack....... The only thing i can say in his defence is, if the board really are not giving him enough funds to get these top players then there is nothing he can do about it but if the money really is there and he pulls off no big signings we should sack him!

Marotta hasn't signed a single player for a fee of 20M or more BUT he may not have the freedom to do so, a change of director wouldn't make a difference if there is no allowance of paying enormous fees for a single player, see Amauri because remember with a 35M transfer fee comes high wages which also is not in Juventus' current model

FIORENTINA has gone too far with the price,

The prediction that someone is gonna be world class, does not make him worth 35M,

MAROTTA has made impressive offer: 15M + QUAGLARELA,

if FIORENTINA doesn't accept the offer, MAROTTA is gonna bring us MESSI on free transfer, I promise
