Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.III
Carroll has got every right to wait further to the summer before he decides what to do. West Ham aren't exactly a dream come true for an English international plus which young player would happily trade their contract for a worse one?

A self respecting player who understands that he has to earn his money at a club?

Self-respecting players like, err, who? Can't think off the top of my head an example of a player who has turned down a more lucrative offer... not exactly an every day thing, is it?
Plus, imo, he deserves another chance at Liverpool, but I'm well aware that Rodgers sees it differently.
Bayer Leverkusen apparently signing Heung Min-Son.
I hope this is true!

I'm only teasing, I see where you're coming from. Imo, no one "deserves" chances at clubs, you earn them or take them

Hopefully the Son deal gets wrapped up quick, so cash can be on hand immediately. No idea who it'll go to, though, new sporting director and multiple areas of need and all.

Yes, well, had we truly pushed for top-4 this season with our current crop of players, I'd be very happy to continue with them, but I genuinely thought we could have used Carroll's different approach in some games where we couldn't (was going to write "bite" but for some reason decided against it) penetrate the opposition's defence. Hence I think he'd be best utilized as a Liverpool player next season, but I know I'm well in minority here. Anyway, I'm happy to give Andy all the time he wants in deciding what he's going to do next, whatever his reasons might be.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.III
So it seems like Shirley is definitely coming, hopefully I'm wrong about him.
Looks like De Bruyne thankfully isn't involved though. I can see the club using him as a bargaining chip in a deal with Lewa and if that fails finally settling on keeping him at the club.

He'd sit the bench. Not ready for such a move, in my opinion.Abramovich wrote:Why we no sign Son over Shirley, think of the Samsung and of the Asian moneys market

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.III
Except West Ham were prepared to match his current salary under the Liverpool contract (and what he received while on loan) so their offer WASN'T "a worse one [contract]." He's demanding above and beyond what he currently earns, you know, an IMPROVED contract... and significantly improved at that. He's welcome to consider his options but currently those are stay at Liverpool, sit on the bench, and miss the World Cup or accept the move to West Ham and play for a side that suits his strengths and wants to have him as a starter. That he wants an extra £20k or more per week isn't really justified however you look at it.Art Morte wrote:Carroll has got every right to wait further to the summer before he decides what to do. Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.III
It's a joke that Cavani's market price is seemingly higher than Suarez'.
Luis is 4 times the player, as showed tonight with Uruguay.
We should ask for 73M minimum. Especially if that clown Cavani goes for 62.7M

The same Cavani that has scored 104 goals in 138 games for Napoli?
What he does for his country is irrelevant as a lot of the time he plays on the wing.
Cavani is one of the best strikers in the world full stop.

Whether JoJo leaves or not, Fio will definitely still be competitive, with Illicic and Joaquin coming in. They are still a force to be reckoned with
Their only concern might be a replacement for Pizarro and Viviano

On what basis? Teams were told to better the amount we got for Torres, not match it.

Agreed. Cavani is the most overrated player today. Number of goals scored? well lets see Higuain scoring more than he scored in serie A.

It's his market price because its his release clause price in his contract. Has nothing to do with value. And why not, he's done incredible things for a Napoli side that is champions league bound. A CL team smacking a big price tag on their prized asset? Those assholes, I hope they pay! Get your pitchforks GL, Napoli are trying to get top dollar for Cavani!!!!!
